    The Rugby Championship 2016

Quade hasn't signed for a super xv side so how is he even eligible? Not that I don't think he should be in the team I just thought that was the law. What if no super xv team sign's him.

How's Timani's line-out skills going? Looking at him, he could cover 4,5,6, and 8. That's pretty damn handy provided his set-piece is solid enough.

Well I'm not actually a fan of Mumm but Cheika seems to love him.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Yeah the squad is very close to what I think Cheika will pick. Although despite his previous preference for Palu to be in the squad I just don't think he will make it. He will probably stick with Mumm. I hope Coleman gets the nod over Carter, and Timani over Palu.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

I'm predicting Cooper will take Lilo's spot on the bench. Foley and To'omua/Gits will start. Not sure about the wingers. I just hope Horne isn't favoured over Mitchell, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and DHP. Also predicting Genia > Phipps.

Should indicate To'omua is the clear front-runner for the 12 jersey. It was probably a 50/50 call anyway if Gits was immediately available. Well provided Foley is still first choice 10, which is likely but you never know now given everyone's form, or lack thereof.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

So shouldn't the same be said of a knock-on or being held up? If you don't actually see the ball held up then it is not held up. If you don't actually see the ball being knocked on then it is not a knock-on. ;)

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

IMO, If the ref didn't see what happened then he should make an educated guess in real time, based on what he saw as being the likely result. He has 2 assistant ref's to help him make this educated guess. This is exactly what happens at every game in rugby in the world that doesn't have a...

Whatever happened to that "Wallabies Positive" thread.

    The Wallabies Thread

I think his RWC performances conflict with your theory. He was horrible off the bench. Worst I've ever seen him. Refer to the England match.

    The Wallabies Thread

All true Scrubber but I think most posters are just shocked at the lack of basic skills in certain areas and are attempting to justify this by unfairly criticising their effort. Phipps the prime example. To be fair, it is bizarre a half-back who has been a half-back all his career struggles...

This post sums it up perfectly.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Our number 10, Foley, doesn't seem to do a lot of the organising or talking on the field, at least compared to other 10's like Lilo. Foley normally just runs himself, or passes to Folau. He's pretty good at that though. I don't really see him as a leader, which is strange for a 10 as i agree...

The most disappointing thing is also that is seems like key playmakers are having real issues passing. I can understand say, a winger sometimes missing the mark, But a halfback! That is ridiculous. Lilo at the Brumbies is another prime example, a year of passing behind the man. He's meant to...

    Reds 2017

I disagree. 2 Dally M's is still a great effort no matter what team you play in. Also, he was also consistently a great performer at origin level. He was a big game player. As good in defence, as he is in attack. A good distributor and can act as a play-maker. Can kick alright too often...

We should probably move the captaincy talk to the wallabies 2016 and beyond thread. I don't think Moore is going anywhere before the Rugby Championship. Sure I would prefer to see another Captain, But I am one poster who actually believes the Captaincy has little bearing on the game.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

There is evidence he will be a good Captain. I think their is a crap load of evidence of Poey communicating to ref's in a good manner. You only have to look at Nigel Owen's comments post RWC final to see how respected he is by refs. So in term's of effective ref communication there is no...

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Slipper would be great, but I don't think his spot is guaranteed with Sio in the mix. Even if does start over Sio consistently, Sio will surely play 20-30mins in the second half and replace him - meaning at best Slipper will Captain for the first 60mins. I'd like our Captain to at least be an...

    The Rugby Championship 2016

The next Captain needs to at least be able to make it to the next RWC. Fardy might be a stretch in that department, I'm sure he'll make it but whether he will still be first choice by then is unlikely. I like the idea of Douglas - provided he can nail down a starting spot - which he hasn't yet.

    The Rugby Championship 2016

Pocock is great with ref's...Not sure about his game management though - although that can be fixed by communicating the game plan with the coaches....but he's gone next year so that's not an option.
