If he is fit enough, I'd bet my house Genia will be selected in front of Phipps.

Wasn't McKenzie a former prop. He was a great tactician.

Once again, sounds like good solid planning. Although that kind of planning doesn't always work, refer to the Reds under McKenzie which planned for Richard Graham to take over. Although having said that, I'm sure their are a many coaching candidates in NZ that will do a fine job after Hansen...

So does this help or deter Quade Cooper coming to the Reds next year?

Agreed. The DNA comment was just that, a comment. I doubt it was the reason he was selected as head coach.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

That fair enough if it wasn't 50/50. But I disagree, I think it was 50/50. In real time it looked for all the money a try was scored. My first reaction was "why is he even going to a video ref it looked like a try". Replays showed something different. I'm not the only one who's first reaction...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

Best part of his reffing was telling Moore he needed to show some leadership. Bout time someone told him that.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

It was amazing seeing the contrast of Moore addressing the ref compared to B.Smith. Even the way NZ players address refs are miles ahead of ours.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

If he scored the try. Then he was penalised. If he didn't then the right call was made. Either way we will never know! I agree on Larkhams comments. It was disappointing how critical he was of the ref. I thought was fine! I disagreed with the no try call but it was a bloody tough call either...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

Either way the Brumbies didn't deserve to win. Although I thought the effort was superb. It was also a great game to watch despite the weather and scoreline. Entertaining.

Plus Phipps off passes are WAY off. They put us on the back foot and cause huge amounts of pressure. Refer to RWC15. Even it is only one every 2 games or so, they can be turning points in games. Other half-backs in Aus don't seem to make nearly as many.

But if he did get the ball down he should be awarded a try. Why should the try-scorer be penalised because no-body saw it? Essentially he is being penalised because the ref wasn't doing his job properly.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

No reason for controversy? The fact is we will never know if it was grounded or not. There is every chance he DID get the ball on the line we just couldn't see it. Seriously, all you need to do is ground the ball with any part of your body on one hair-line part of the line and technically it is...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

Lots of tries are awarded without seeing the ball grounded. Maul tries the prime example. All I'm saying is, in 50/50 calls the attacking team should get the benefit of the doubt.

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

It wasn't clear he lost the ball. It wasn't clear he didn't. What was clear was that he had momentum and over half his body sliding over the line. Can't blame the video ref it was the right call saying the footage was inconclusive. It comes downs to the ref. He should have asked "any...

    Quarter Final - Brumbies vs Highlanders, 22 July 2016 @ 6:00pm

One arm grasp was the confusing bit for me. One arm he clearly tucked close the body so he could impact with his shoulder first - not even attempt a grasp. The other arm he kept out wide and made a half-ass attempt of a grasp late in the tackle. I always thought they had to attempt to wrap...

    The Rugby Championship 2016

I think the Ref was fair in saying that to Moore. Moore was whinging like a school kid. I think it was the first penalty in the red zone by the highlanders and he was calling for a yellow. Moore is one of the worst ref managers I've seen in a while.

    Brumbies 2017

True, but like I mentioned I wouldn't call Larkham a quality coach, but I wouldn't call him a complete failure either.

    Brumbies 2017

Yes he is.... But that takes some skills to do that. He is very new to coaching after all. Like I said, Graham had a better set-up under McKenzie, he was even HC under McKenzie for a year as Director of Rugby, so you'd imagine the transition would have been smooth with most of the playing...
