    Wallabies 2020

JOC (James O'Connor) out with a foot injury. Hodge apparently is set to retain the 10 spot.

    Australia v Argentina - 21 November, Newcastle

High balls to the back could work a treat. The one Argy who I thought had a less than impressive game was their No 15. Not in the class of say Tuculet.

Took at least four lineouts against the Argies in the second warm up game. Your wish has come true.

    Brumbies 2021

Brumbies would have to be one of the best places for a young prop to learn the game. Great coaches and players.

Who's talking about frequent? BH you've changed the discussion just to suit your point of view.

Don't agree. For instance, it was right to start with AAA against the ABs and to bring Tupou in later, but against the Pumas it might be better to swap them to put extra pressure on their defensive structure early on. It might also be better to beef up the second row and backrow because we...

    Wallabies 2020

One of the hoary old chestnuts that often gets rolled out by coaches is that we don't focus on what the opposition does, we just worry about our own game. That often covers them from making changes to the team. They really should be structuring the team to beat the opposition they are facing...

If by physicality we mean better ability to carry the ball to and through a defense then Hosea has it over Simmons in spades. Not to forget he also hits harder and more effectively in his tackles too.

Out of interest Wamb, will Hooper be available to captain all of the Wallabies tests next year? If not, he will only have two tests left before he has to be replaced. I'm not sure that being captain right now would be enough to secure his spot if the coaching group thought he needed a nd rest...

    Brumbies 2021

Jahrome Brown at 7 and Samu at 8. Depth looks a bit shallow in .the backrow. Understand Reimer also plays 7, but not sure if any other recently promoted players fill backrow spots. Edit: Tom Hooper probably has the build and pace for a 6, but don't know if he's ever played there. Primarily a...

My comment KM was a response to Dismal's selection of Ofa for the second test v Argentina.

Nah, don't agree. Sean was essentially our Ardie Savea. Too small to play either 6 or 8 at test level and certainly wouldn't be replacing Hooper at 7. NZ just now learning the pitfalls of playing a second No 7 out of position. Hopefully the Wallabies won't ever go through that erroneous...

Yeah, one of which was a typical Isi drive off the back of the scrum. Been missing that while Isi has been missing.

Is it not feasible that turnover ball to the Argies won't be punished like it is by the ABs.? While I have the utmost respect for the ball handling skills and offloading abilities of the Pumas they don't punish mistakes as ruthlessly as the ABs. They seem to be happy to send the ball deep after...

    Wallabies 2020

In Swinton's absence, I'd like to see Wilson in 6 and Naisarani in 8. For all the plaudits Wilson is getting his ball carrying has been disappointing so far for the Wallabies. No criticism of the rest of his game, but it would be nice to have an 8 who invariably makes ground with ball in hand...

As an outsider DP, I would also say Jack G hasn't exactly set the world on fire this year, but I'd go further and say ALB has been very ordinary too. Laumape might not be the answer either. Remember he wasn't very effective against a newbie Aussie a week ago and Paisami was having only his first...

New Zealand vs Argentina, Nov 14, 2020

Reckon that was one of the best exhibitions of coordinated backrow mayhem I've seen for a long time. Three big, burly hard arsed Pumas owned the lighter weight ABs backrow.

There comes a time when loyalty to a lost cause becomes a case of blind insanity. Two or three one-eyed posters on here atm.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Hoggy I'm not at all sure what you are suggesting. My understanding of the proposed competitions for 2021 is that Aus and NZ will both have their domestic competitions run concurrently, to be followed by the TT competition. I do not believe either domestic competition will be run alongside the TT.
