SRAU RD 1 Western Force vs Brumbies, Perth Friday 19 Feb

At least, Pfitzy, they had an attack by which you were bored. I presume the only reason they scored three tries was that they had bored the Force players into slumber. Pity the Tahs have no attack at all to either bore or fire up their fans.

Muirhead and Hansen both had impressive games last night. MOTM for me was Valetini. His defence was unshakable and his workrate was high.

Really liked the effort put in by Frost when he came on. Looks to have matured since last year. As well as the good game in general, he is a force to be reckoned with in the lineout. Good sign for the future.

    Waratahs 2021

BH, I have evidently misread your post, but looking at it (above) I really don't see any mention of injury cover, although the link might be back to the earlier comment that you were replying to. I have no argument about moving players to cover injury at the back end of a game, but even in...

Rd 1 SRA 2021 Queensland Reds v NSFW Waratahs

After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, I am now thinking the Tahs could take this one. No more anti-Tahs bias as the starting point to any discussion involving them since one KB (Kurtley Beale) has left the scene. They are now a vastly different animal to me and I can and will look at them in an even-handed...

    Waratahs 2021

Dress it up however you like BH, but Jack Maddocks simply is not a winger. I don't think he's the versatile player you think he is. Probably more a mental thing than skills related but I would be disappointed if he became disillusioned and lost the motivation to compete for the Wallabies 15 spot...

    Waratahs 2021

Tahs can do what they like with Donaldson, Moeroa, Walton and Newsome, but moving Maddocks from fullback would be a brain explosion of the highest order, reminiscent of the Rebels misuse of him, and certainly not in the best interests of the Wallabies.

Yep, Tapine looked the goods. But Fines also had an excellent game when he moved to the wing. The Brumbies squad is again one of the strongest, but it does look a bit weak in the outside backs with both Wright and Kata missing. Great to see both Samu and Simone making it over their injuries...

I really disliked Kearns and thought he never added much to the conversation, but at least I could understand him....

    Brumbies 2021

Sio missed the trial with 1a tight back while Samu suffered a shoulder injury. Tom Wright out for about 6 weeks, while Simone, Kuenzle and Kata are recovering from injuries. Assuming none of them are fit for Perth, I expect the team against the Force to look something like this...

    Brumbies 2021

Best, big news I can imagine atm would be Rory Arnold returning. But I suspect it more likely will be Blake Enever. Either would make it a very strong second row roster.

Pre-season trial : Brumbies v Force, Canberra 9 Feb (Updated)

Robertson, Kaitu'u and Holmes is a very strong front row.

Pre-season trial : Brumbies v Force, Canberra 9 Feb (Updated)

Strong performance by Valetini in both attack and defence with good workrate too. Rennie's words must be having an effect. Banks looking sharper than at any time last year. Brown was everywhere in defence; made a motza of tackles and some good metres in tight with the ball. Same for Samu...

Pre-season trial : Brumbies v Force, Canberra 9 Feb (Updated)

Kuenzle missing from the squad. Is he injured? Looking like Bayley will be the No 10 who shifts to 12 to cover Simone. Incidentally, Simone is also missing. Anyone know why?

    Brumbies 2021

Hanson is most definitely a 15. I reckon he would also cover wing more than adequately but not in the class of Lolesio, Kuenzle or Pasitoa at 10.
