Podcast tonight with Kev Horwill - your questions please

What makes a good line out caller and why was Simmons picked to run the line out at the Reds instead of him (even though His/Kevs experience was/is significantly higher). How can the Wallabies ensure they don't lose the battle at the breakdown? The Reds were quite effective in securing their...

    Cheats

Great, thanks for clearing that up. So from that photo, we have a completely detached McCaw and a partial attached Elsom and as a result you can't blame Elsom for re-acting to the position of McCaw can you?

Well, Rocky is still technically bound? From memory a flanker doesn't have to have a shoulder bound, just an arm? The difference is, Rocky is still attached to the scrum whilst McCaw is a foot away

Well even though this is a video, there's that saying that a picture is worth a thousand words; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJQwQpsq5Ek

Whats going on in New Zealand??

    Perhaps they're trying to get over being afraid of the golden touch of Bill by conquering the feeling of gold? Seems like you too can follow in their footsteps by buying their training jersey;

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Drop AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) for Mitchell to come into the back line with Digby into 13. Or, shift JOC (James O'Connor) into 12 and move McCabe out to 13. Out of the entire back line, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is the one out of form this season and even tonight he looked slow of the mark.

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

If you want those covered, you're better off with Samo (he's more a 4,5 than Higgers is). Plus that doesn't include why we have a back up second row then if Higgers can cover those as well? You would be better off with Higgers and Samo on the bench (or Higgers and McCallum) if you wanted to...

Are we expecting too much from the Wallabies as a brand?

We dropped to number three yesterday.

    Mortlock and Higgers? :fishing

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Why do we need another ball player in the centres? There is Genia, Cooper, Beale and O'Connor who are all capable of being ball players. If anything having either Digby or McCabe partner with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) brings more balance to the team as you need ball runners. Overall I'm happy with the team bar...

UQ Player Halley Appleby passed away

I'd love to know more as well. For some reason all I can picture is scenes from when Julian Huxley was knocked out by Horwill and it turned out he had a massive un-noticed pre-condition! From the second hand stories I've heard, I hope his Girlfriend was able to make it back from Europe to say...

S15 Most watched match on TV

Sigh, not this again. If the SARUB feels this way, pick up your blankey and walk away. You need us as much as we need you. Without the Aussies and the Kiwis, South African rugby will go down in flames as players wont want to play in local competitions forever. But what I would like to suggest...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

So because of Turners experience theres no excuse for his lack of form in the Super competition then?

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

Perhaps this turn around could mean there could be a turn around with Rocky's captaincy ;)

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

And the Kiwi fans booed Quade when he was lining up a kick as well, so why didn't he make mention of that? I personally have no problem with booing while they're kicking, its one of the rewards for having a home game, there should be more home fans than away fans.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I don't think that explains it at all. Doing the contestable bombs would lead to more scrums as you're relying on the opposition; A) Knocking the ball on or B) Your guys winning the contest in whatever means ie catching the ball or knocking it back Either way you look at it, kicking the ball...

Gold Coast to host first test match...and other QLD Test hosting news..

Wasn't the whole reason the sevens were moved from Adelaide because of poor turn out?

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Guy Shepardson rings an alarm bell of doing SFA with the opportunities he's been given. I honestly don't understand how he's dropped so far out of the picture in so few years (wasn't it in 2007/2008 when both he and Holmes were the Wallabies front rowers?)

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I'd like to think I was one of the first on the site, picked gold tickets in Section 723. While they're prime seating spots (between the 10-22), my only concern is how far back 72 rows is :(
