Quade telling it how it is

I presume that was directed at me given it was in my format... I can't recall reading anywhere in this thread that anyone said it was the right way going about it. My post even said it: "Was/is his method of delivery apt? Nope." I have deliberately not stated what I think the ramifications...

Quade telling it how it is

I still maintain my earlier comment, it is really just a young guy venting his frustrations without much thought to the consequences. Nothing's changed with his latest comments on the rugby club. Is he correct? I strongly suspect so. The wallabies do NOT look happy playing since before the...

Quade telling it how it is

QC (Quade Cooper) needs to be actively playing rugby to keep his brain occupied on what matters. These injury lay offs just allow him time to reflect on things which are probably not conducive to a positive outlook on things. Time off + smartphone + gen y = Not good.

2012 Rugby Championship Round 4 Game 2 Australia vs Argentina - 15 Sep

QC (Quade Cooper) passed a lot of balls to gaps that enabled our receivers (mostly the centres and fullback) to gain good metres repeatedly. That had been missing recently when he wasn't playing 5/8th. I think there were only three incidents in his play that were truly shockers. On a shocker scale of...

Good stadium to watch rectangular games.

    Reds 2013

If he does, it would be great. He would need to lift a lot of notches though. He can tackle, he just seems to not want to some times. His reading in defense is very strong as well, so maybe that's why he pulls away or goes for the steal instead. I don't know.

    Reds 2013

Correct, by having QC (Quade Cooper) defending at the back you are forcing the opposition to remove their ability to gain territory through kicking. I would counter that this is a big positive to having QC (Quade Cooper) at the back. Forcing the opposition to change their tactics is an indication that your team is in...

    Reds 2013

I read what you're saying and know it makes some sense, but when it comes to Quade Cooper what makes sense and what actually happens are often mutually exclusive.

    Reds 2013

Maybe this has been said before (I don’t know – there are a lot of posts to go through): I am starting to wonder whether it is really a good thing that QC (Quade Cooper) is trying to man up in defence in the 10 channel. My thoughts are that in previous seasons he has been pivotal in counter attacking from...

But not bright enough to have lit up the stadium it would seem. :P

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

Both Sharpe and Gill's post match interview seemed to indicate the plan was to turn the book forwards around (after they were both asked specifically about the over use of short kicks) which would lead me to think that it was intended all along. They were terrible kicks and didn't work, but...

2012 Rugby Championship Round 3 Game 1 Australia vs South Africa - 8 Sep

I don't actually care who wins, so long as both teams stop playing like shite for a change and it ends up being a cracker of a match.

Actually, that isn't that bad. Might not have beaten the ABs, but would have performed better than what we have dished up so far.

    Rumour: Deans could be gone

I just destroyed a quality keyboard reading that... Don't read and drink at the same time people!!!.

    The ranting at Deans/ARU/O'Neill/Players thread

I really hope that what I have been reading about the Wallabies (thinking that the all black performance was the best in the last 10 years and any side would have lost against them) is not true. If it is, then I feel that Deans and the Wallabies are in for a serious reality lesson at the hands...

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

"To be fair though it was his first good game in 5 or so starts" - I agreed with most of your post and in particular I thought Timani played the best I have ever seen him play, which is not necessarily saying a lot. If he plays like that consistently THEN I will feel he has earned his jersey...

Because it would be 2/3 of the tahs front row, (3/3 if the other weren't injured). He may be picking the front row as a unit.

2012 Rugby Championship Game 2 New Zealand vs Australia - 25 August

I am still not convinced that wholesale changes across the board and inexperienced players for the eden test match is the right way to go. Surely the wallabies throughout the wales tests (and training) have been working towards this and bled 1 was just a misapplication of the game plan...
