Davies just needs the confidence to back his pace. A couple of times last year he seemed to doubt himself a bit instead of just putting the foot to the floor. He gets quite a few intercepts - and to me that means he reads and understands the game pretty well to get himself in that position...

If we play for a full 80 minutes (which I don't really think we have), I think we have a good shot at getting very close to the win, if not winning. I am still jittery as we I haven't seen the reds put in a solid performance yet for a full game.

I am nervous about this one, but these upcoming games in the next weeks are season defining for the reds (less so for the chiefs). If that motivates the guys then we should do ok, I reckon.

yeah, you are right about the 9. Definitely depends on what the players type of involvement was/is, but given Scott's original list was specifically about the forwards, I wasn't really talking about the backs. I should have clarified that. I didn't notice anyone assuming the ref was to blame...

The more a player is involved in the game the more likely they are to give away a penalty I reckon, simply due to the somewhat random nature of how penalties are awarded. Particularly if it is anywhere near the tackle/ruck/maul area given that there are probably 3 or 4 infringements at every...

A good win for the rebels coming off a couple of sorry weeks. I hope this lifts their spirits. When they click, they are an entertaining side (like last year against the crusaders and the bulls).

A good game to watch, and always a pleasure to watch an underdog win. Especially when it's an underdog that plays like the Kings. Some of their tries this season are simply beautiful to behold. Good on 'em.

Thats not saying a lot, really. Tonight, they were woefully one sided and made Kearns look average. I like the two saffa guys in the early morning games the best.

None of the highlanders line outs were thrown in straight, so it wasn't all one way.

Reds should have gone on with it and ripped them to shreds, but let them back in. Highlanders just didn't look interested until the end. What is wrong?

I really hope the reds build on last game this week. I don't think it will be easy, since the highlanders will definitely be keen to make amends for what has been a disastrous start this season - and no kiwi side is poor. Ever.

Please don't change the three at the back of the pack (Quirk, Shatz and Gill). As a unit they are working well.

A much better performance by the reds, even if the Bulls looked off the pace. Good to see QC (Quade Cooper) step as well, a lot more confident. Great to have Genia and Horwill back as well.
