Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I don't know. But assuming 2 of the lock/6s don't make the final squad then it would have been beneficial to have Jones, and say Coleman, around the extended squad with an eye on the future. But my point really was who would be in the squad in place of Gits and Mitchell? Cummins and Debracini(sp)?

Who have they kept out of the squad?

Unfortunately he was unable to deliver.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

So we have a 40 man squad. Are they going to trim 5 before the RC?

That it's not some fucked up shit?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'm hoping the two rumored debutants are interesting. Coleman and Kerevi? Arnold and Latu maybe? Cheikas first squad. Should be interesting!

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I'd say Vaea is unlikely to go at this stage and that Cheika would pick Smith ahead of him for the squad(RWC), being that he is able to cover all 3 backrow positions. In a 31 man squad that makes Smith very attractive along with his experience. Who knows what will happen in the RC with injury...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Don't get me wrong. I like Jones as a player and his skill set is perfect for a bench lock being that he can also cover 6. We are going to need a 5/6 if we have a reserve 7 or 8 on the bench. I hope we see him go very well if given some time in the RC. It was inexperience in his only test that...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

What? No. I just don't feel that following the same path that has led to mediocre results will net anything more than that again. The coach owes the fans nothing. He owes his employers the best he can do with the cattle he has. If he does exactly what the last bloke did then they will most...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Ezebeth, Retallic and the like. Bring them in when they are young and let them play and learn alongside experienced test players if they have the physical capability. If we roll out the same forward pack from the EOYT playing to their potential we may perform well and get to the knockout stages...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Coleman just needs direction, more direction than he is receiving at the Force. We cannot do well in this RWC without changing tack a bit and taking some risks. Look at SA and NZ. They throw these big strong going guys into the deep end and see if they sink or swim.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Yes. Luke Jones has had a fantastic Super season, but let's not forget that he did struggle with the physicality and speed of the game at test level in his single opportunity. I know that was a while ago and he has developed since then. Hopefully he will have ample opportunity in the RC to show...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

He is going to have to work with a different style of forward pack and with a different style of play or else we will be caned. He uses what he has at the Tahs to create his best pack and plays within their limitations. He will do the same at test level but he has more quality and a wider skill...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

I see some still throwing around Dennis' name as a lock option. I don't see it. He is manageable at Super level but will be seriously outgunned at test level in both the set piece and in general play. I don't see how Dennis could be included in any 23 with several good lock options in Simmons...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

So Cheika has to choose a lot of these players from two limited sides and mix in a sprinkle of Reds and Rebs players that will make a difference and run out a close to new approach to the game............no problem? Those players for me would be Cooper, Higginbotham, Simmons, Slipper and...

    Waratahs v Highlanders, semi-final, Saturday 27 June

So can we put to bed the notion of starting Skelton and Palu in the same pack please? Lineout was abused. And Dave Dennis.........not a test lock. The much less fancied Highlanders pack just schooled a Tahs pack full of Wallabies. If nothing else this should give Cheika an indication of which...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Sounds like something the Wallabies are trying to do. We need to be able to play both ways but our real strength will lie out wide. Let's face it, we are not going to win this RWC by dominating England, the Darkness and SA up front, although it would certainly help. We need to achieve parity...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Thats not really possible. You mean wider than at the Rebs? In the stands? He was primarily a 6 and I seem to remember him scoring some amazing tries but also playing a bit more up the middle.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Hope you are right. Shame he is going OS. It will be interesting to see if Cheika can get him to play more directly when needed. I don't recall him being so wide at the Reds? The thing with Higgers is he plays so wide for the Rebs that it appears he is seagulling, but his involvements are...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Skeltons scrummaging was dodgy last year. It appears as though he has rectified that but we will not know until the RC. Over the past 2 years he has really come on at a very impressive rate in all aspects of his play. Look at some of the good Australian Super R. scrums and they have makeshift...
