    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

Most of the discussion here seems to be revolving around who will be our no.22 for the Irish game. I think everyone agrees that JOC (James O'Connor) should be in the run on side. I'd be minded to put ANT on the bench for a few reasons. Firstly, he has done a very good job for us over the past month and I...

Rugby World Cup is a Joke!!

Well i think you'll be hard fought to find anyone that thinks this tournament is a joke. I've watched every game so far and I must say I have enjoyed every game immensely New Zealand v Tonga - The tribal dance off at the start was worth admission alone. The game wasn't great, but it was...

    RWC - Wallabies v Italy - 11th September 2011

I don't think so. Looking at this side it's pretty clear that Deans is making sure he doesn't underestimate the italians which is a good sign. Palu needs game time but I'm expecting he'll have to wait until our games against the US and Russia. He'll surely be in the run-on side for those games...

    WC favourites

All Blacks - Home ground advantage. Ruthless on attack. Very rarely play poorly (or what I would consider poorly). Even more rare for them to lose at home. World’s best flyhalf. Arguably world’s best no7. Arguably world’s best no8 (if he’s fit). One of the best scrums in the game. Can do it all...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

I think what Henry meant to say was 'in his 8 years as coach he has not seen the All Blacks dominated so badly in one half of rugby'. ...That's okay Henry I haven't seen it either

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

This is a good question mate. Possibly bit a bit of both. i think in reality some of those guys could have returned a while back if we'd needed them. Horne is one player who was definitely put on ice. Slipper and TPN are probably in the same boat. At the same time, how we managed to get through...

    3N Team of 2011

Brussow played one very good game and that was it. Pocock played in all four games and outplayed his opposite number in 3 of those 4 games (including outplaying Brussow in SA). So he gets the bench spot IMO. Stephen Moore and BDP were both stand-outs in every game. flip a coin to see who...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

For me it's exciting to think about our potential bench at the world cup. Last night was a great performance, but I thought our physicality went down for a period of the second half . The guys seemed to lift again when we hit the lead, and brought on some of the subs. The match really...

    Rocky Elsom at Halftime??

Elsom played well. Didn't handle the ball a lot but absolutely dominated his opposite number. I think now that he's getting match fit, Deans could play him for 80 minutes

Wallabies Backline for the world cup.

After this weekend's games i'm a bit confused. I'd start the world cup with the following backline 10.Cooper 11.Ioane 12.MCCabe 13.Fainga'a 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Beale 22. O'Connor/Mitchell McCabe has done the dirty world in all of our matches this season. Nothing spectacular and very...

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Surely they could build a roof over suncorp?! ....although we need as much practice as we can get playing in damp conditions

Media talks in chaos - no Australian press at the World Cup?

Agree.. hopefully this means we wont have Aussie journos writing stories that attempt to derail our campaign, as we've seen this week. I generally have nothing but distain for journos, and whilst it is important that our newspapers cover our game's showpiece, it warms my heart to know that...

Tactics for the Trinations Final in Brisbane

Whatever the game plan we need to start strongly.

    Tri Nations Game 6 - Wallabies vs All Blacks - Saturday 27 August 2011 - 3N2011

Higgers was OK but i don't know how people can justify that he 'deserves another shot at starting'....why? .. He's not the incumbent no.8. He was being tried there and I think everyone would agree the Samo impressed off the bench, while Higgers didn't make the impact he had in previous games...

Tri Nations Game 5 - Springboks vs All Blacks

Good performance from the Boks. They knew the importance of winning this one. They wanted it more than the all blacks. And they all lifted for the home crowd. A fitting farwell for a few guys who wont play in in SA again. The All Blacks really should have played Matt Todd. They needed...

    James Horwill Captaincy Decision

After watching the impact Horwill had as captain for the Reds this year, it's pretty clear this is a massive plus to our side. With Horwill as captain our chances of winning the world cup have improved significantly since last week. The timing of it I thought worked very well for a few...

    Wallabies world cup squad selection

The decision to make Horwill has really made my day! Horwill's captaincy made a big difference to the Reds this year. He was particular outstanding the game against the tahs at Suncorp. He talks to his players, he leads from the front, and has a very good approach to handling the referee, never...

Who do you want kicking for the Wallabies?

I agree, although It actually worked ok last week against the boks. The bok back three were having shockers under the high ball, but i wouldn't expect the same from the blacks next week. One thing i do like about the box kicks is that if its done in the right part of the field it allows you...
