    The Boks A team

I doubt even the English will kick away as much ball as the Boks. But yes England have no chance against the All Blacks and shouldn't have a chance against the Wallabies either. But history has taught us that no matter how unlikely, the All Blacks find a way to lose world cups and the Wallabies...

    The Boks A team

I still have fond memories of put $200 on england at 5:50 to 1 at the last world cup. Yes indeed! The strippers softened to blow....Something tells me i wont get such great odds this time though

    The Boks A team

No chance butch will be flyhalf. PDV has already shown his hand by confirming that he intends to stick with the now outdated kick and chase game plan. Steyn suits the game plan perfectly. brilliant place kicker and can kick the shit of those up-and-unders.Those who are saying James will play at...

Any injury concerns? I heard Beale twisted his ankle...?

GAGR Wallaby Player of the Match v SAF

3 Genia 2 Horwill 1 Alexandar No one really had a bad game... McCalman could have made more of an impact (tried hard at the breakdown though) S Fainga'a was a bit off

    Andries Bekker gooooooneeeeeeee.

Shouldn't hurt SA too badly as long as Matfield stays fit, although I actually would have put Bekker ahead of Botha in the pecking order. Botha just doesn't have the impact he did 3 years ago. THe South Africans fans will no doubt down play the signficance of this, pointing to the fact that...

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Can't say iv been that excited to watch the wallabies again after last week, but I imagine the boys are as keen as I am to get the ball rolling again as soon as possible, and I think there is an opportunity this week to turn things around. I am particularly encouraged by a few things - the...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

The forward pack looked clueless at times. they constantly failed to put a jumper up when the samoans had a lineout. Every time they were too indecisive and samoa won the lineout. I was yelling at the screen "just put a jumper up". It wasn't until the end of the game they actually contested it...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

Congrats to Samoa. Sucks to lose but it’s a good lesson to learn at the start of the season and that is don't underestimate your opponent by playing a B side. Not the end of the world given that basically every year the wallabies chalk up a performance like this one. At least we can get it out...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

I partly agree because it would have been nice to see at least one scrummaging specialist in the squad as a 'just in case'. However to be fair to Deans in this particular game Deans has made the right choice I think given that Samoa shouldn't really pressure us at scrum time.

So, the Australian scrum. Am I worrying too much?

That's why im still particularly optimistic. The Reds this season were often targeted at scrum time, sometimes they lost the battle, but they still managed to get on top of the opposing forward pack. They were better in the tackle, better at the breakdown. They were a strong forward pack without...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

Interesting choices for the Samoa game. I think Deans' line-up gives a good indication of his thoughts on the team this year. I would imagine he is resting some important players that could have probably played this week (Ben Robinson, Pocock, Beale). the right move. I recall that some...

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

The Reds game plan seemed to be to keep turning the saders around with kicks for the first 60 minutes to tire out the crusaders and it worked.

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

Not that I want to dwell on this ref issue (as the issue seems to have been hacked to death of those board) but I would like to add some food for thought. I personally dont like to worry about the ref too much in most games. they are professionals and generally I have confidence that theyll do...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

Any news on Horne....Is he fit????? BTW Braveheart, agreed with everything you wrote. I agree that the bench prop will be either Kepu or Slipper, whoever has recovered from their injury first. I don;t know who that'll be. Is Kepu still injured?? They certainly wont rush Slipper in if they think...

Actually i believe there was also two trial games they won, so technically it would be 4 games in the last 2 years...Although im not suggesting that is a streak

SupeRugby Final 2011: Queensland Reds V Canterbury Crusaders

I thought the Saders were very good last night however they were playing an inferior team. Don't get me wrong the Stormers are a strong side, especially defensively but they have proven numerous times this season that against the better defensive teams they lacked the attack to penetrate. The...
