    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

In our country of 25 million there are quite a few who could play 10 for our national team. They are playing NRL. And there is always O'Connor, who looks as though he could fill just about any spot in the backline to me.

I wonder whether Chubby goes off the deep end to take the pressure of his team? Or does he just do his block.

One thing I know about Sayley. He did enjoy a cold beer on a hot day.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

The Poms have two tough games to go, we have two relatively easier ones in the pipeline before we play them. They will, hopefully, be a bit the worse for wear when (and if, of course) we play them.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Wales - Sunday 29 September 2019 @ 5.45pm

We played like shite for most of the first half and still almost won. I was flabbergasted when we did not press our advantage in attack and opted to kick that final penalty. To'omua kicking possession away in the last couple of minutes was also weird. What do the Latu haters think know? MOTM.

How the frig does Ireland breed somebody like James Ryan, I wonder? Whatever it is, we should copy it.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

It is not a case of willingness to fund domestic competitions properly, it is all about the relative prosperity of the codes. We are paupers compared to the AFL and the NRL, even soccer is richer and more popular.

If you could change the laws of rugby, what would you change?

Also the half back is not allowed to fake picking up the ball. If he moves his hands towards the ball, the ref should say play on.

    Rugby World Cup 1987

Yeah, I remember the good old days of what amounted to a bit of a soft shoe shuffle with footy boots on. If that makes sense.

Cannot agree with that. The presence of an accurate kicker (out of hand as well as from the tee) is a huge advantage. We are not good enough to carry the handicap of a poor kicker.

    Shute Shield 2019

I just googled it, apparently the facility is being improved. Apparently it will be renamed "Cumberland Oval". I still prefer Death Valley.

It seems pretty likely to me that possible targets would be reluctant to sign until they know who the coach will be. I would have assumed that the Tahs do not have any liability, it will be RA's problem. Could be wrong, though.

This thing about "not wanting to be at the bottom of the list" bothers me a fair bit. A bit like the fuss about schools that finish at the bottom of the Naplan rankings. The point is, in any ranking somebody or some entity has to finish at the bottom. That fact alone does not mean that their...

FWIW, when I was in Tonga, by far the most popular jersey worn around the place was an AB one.

    RWC 2019 Predictions

We did the double in 1999 of course. The two World Cups. And the Woodies won our first First Grade Premiership. Which excited me more, I have to admit.
