I hate to say it, but I reckon losing Kerevi could actually turn out to be a good thing. Mind you, I would like to see him come back. But he was totally overused in my opinion, and our attack (talking about the Wobs) was one dimensional. I would love to see him in a decent backline...

He was a very good ball runner at the highest level, he will be a star, I reckon, if he can get Sevens fit.

    Dubai 7's - 6-8 December 2019

Did really well on the first day. Against Samoa, I thought the ref was a bit easy on Samoa in the first half, could have been a YC or two when we were on attack. The turning point seemed to be when little Maurice fluffed that lineout throw. It was all downhill from there.

    Rugby 7s general chat

Brought back to reality. Not up to date on injuries, but that was not an impressive side against Samoa. I think that the importance of size in Sevens might have been answered, to some extent, not only in our game, but the Blitzbokke were just overwhelming, as well as too fast and skillful.

Any congregation which was subjected to frequent sermons on one tiny slice of the Bible has my condolences. Any monkey can prove anything based on a quote of a couple of verses from the Bible. Again, if you want to evangelise, try the words of Jesus. Heard of him?

It is instructive that Izzy made the claim, very late in the day, that he had been "acting out of love". Christian evangelism should be about love, not about attacking people. I think most civilised people understand that people who are attracted to those of the same sex do not choose to be...

"Referring to the Bible" - to use your words - is not the same thing as "quoting the Bible". Folau has admitted that he was actually quoting somebody else's farrago of fundamentalist bullshit. He was certainly not "quoting the Bible". Rugby players should conform to the terms of their...

There is only one Folau. Firstly, he had a huge image in Australian rugby and was worth a lot to the game. Secondly, he was recognised as a world class player, albeit deeply flawed in some important respects. Thirdly, he is a member of what amounts to a sect, and his father is the leader of...

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

If he he has his eyes set on '23, he would have to be playing our game for a couple of seasons before then, wouldn't he?

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

RA do have some sort of insurance cover for this risk, so I read somewhere along the line. The chances of him being awarded 14 mill are about the same as the chance of me being the next Wallaby fullback in his place. So if he wins (which is in the lap of the you know whats) it will be a hit...

He strikes me as being somebody who enjoys speaking the truth. He could have given a non-committal answer, couldn't he? I cannot find it in me to believe that a Keewee would stoop to brown-nosing.

He was routinely schooled by every Eastwood front row he came up against.

    Waratahs 2020

No other options available, I imagine. He is serviceable, in a pinch, although I agree with what others have said, he is really only SS standard, and not a star even in clubland.

Size (and strength and technique, of course, not to mention attitude) counts at the breakdown, even in Sevens.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

I think the novelty of intercontinental flight would wear off pretty quickly, particularly as he has a young family. It sounds like a drawcard, and it probably is, for a while. But frankly I would imagine that the benefits of spending your working week in or near your home would be pretty...

He might have been a standout at 6 if he had had a couple of years' experience.

Timana Tahu has been quoted as saying he would be suited to our game. One strength he has, apparently, is that he can kick. That would put him ahead of 95% of our backs.

A little bit tough on them. Only a little big though.

What is she supposed to say? There are quite a few positives around, if you choose to see them. The participation by girls and women, and the rise of some very impressive juniors are two of them. Chubby turned out to be a disaster, but that was a very slow train wreck with the benefit of...
