    Wallaby Coach Conga Line

No thinking allowed apparently, just blind loyalty.

    Waratahs 2020

If Beale is told to underplay his role the team will go okay. He has got most of the skills, and some of those in abundance.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If we want the game to be attractive I would rather see time limits on scrums and lineouts than stopping the clock. Plus lengthening the elapsed time of matches runs counter to what seems to be the modern appetite for shorter contests.

    Waratahs 2020

I will not say anything other than "oh, no Tom Carter?"

    Super Rugby 2020

I drew the link right from the outset. Anybody with a smattering of religious history would have. I am glad that this change has occurred. BTW if the "very few" people who drew the link were deeply offended by it then it is better off consigned to the medieval history waste basket.

I would have Dan Vickerman ahead of Dennis and Mumm combined!

    Waratahs 2020

Pat Howard must be in the reckoning. Going back even further, Rupert Rosenblum. But that is prehistory.

    Rugby 7s general chat

Maybe it does. Maybe it is a coincidence. Either way we know that our ranks need strengthening, and there is only one way to strengthen the ranks, and that is to bring in some new players. They will all need to get a lot better in a very short time. The whips are cracking.

    Aussie Player Exodus

And with any luck there will be another couple of names from the junior ranks pushing for selection.

    Rugby 7s general chat

Pama Fou was a volleyball player who was spotted brought across a few years ago. I am pretty sure attempts have been made to locate potential recruits.

    Rugby 7s general chat

I am at the stage where I record the games and only watch the replay when we win. Sight unseen, I just cannot imagine the value of Rocket Rod in Sevens, unless he has grown a fair bit and kept his pace. We had better see a lot of improvement very quickly, otherwise.........I don't know...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Rugby league was, of course, widely played in the Catholic schools system, and also in State schools in rural areas. Plus league had thriving weekend competitions which some of the best rugby kids played in. I played both codes after leaving school, league was far better organised and...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not sure about the 'Gong? The Newcastle Wildfires had a few years in the SS, but by the end they had virtually no local support. My wife and I attended their last home game, which was against the mighty Woods, and the Wildfires absolutely thrashed us. That was the year we won our first first...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Chicken and egg, Hoggy. It has always been a low value sport domestically, and for much of our history it has been low value as an international sport. We have next to no chance of creating a viable, and interesting, domestic competition in the forseeable future. It seems to be that the...
