Without jumping too much into corporate BS, we have a great opportunity to appoint a disruptor who could make fundamental changes to the familiar path we've been on for the last several years. It has the potential to change the image of rugby in the country. On the other hand, maybe Eddie and...

    Queensland Reds 2024

I think it was mentioned here that LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was scoping out options, but unlikely to be at the Reds - that was pre-Thorn announcement though Not sure if this is the case, but if ASY (Angus Scott-Young) is doing any component of his med degree over there as part of an exchange program, that could complicate things...

played 3 or 4 I think? Injured before camp selection, so wasn’t considered, if memory serves me correctly

    Reds 2023

I must say I'm liking the O'Connor/Flook centres pairing more and more. A bit of a change from the crash and bash centres pairings the Reds have favoured since Kerevi, but it seems to balance out the backline well. Very solid in D, and having an alternate playmaker outside Creighton really...

    Week 10 - Waratahs vs Highlanders - Friday 7.35pm

I'm not sure if Gordon's not calling the shots, or if no one's listening, but it's an absolute shambles

A bit of Stephen Moore about this. Big fan

    Wallabies 2023

The good ones - not sure if it's the 'best' team, but I imagine it'd be pretty exciting viewing

    Reds 2023

This really isn't the slam dunk you think it is. They're still young at 21 and 23, but both have been around the Reds setup (at a Super Rugby level) for several years, with 30 and 37 caps to their names, and have not demonstrated the development as players that would be expected in that time.

He was all but confirmed to be missing the whole season I thought?

    Round 10: Reds v Force- Saturday April 29 @ Suncorp 7:35pm

Petaia's looked like a more effective option at fullback than Jock has in recent weeks imo. I expect there will be a bit of position sharing going on between them too

Except when one or both are injured, which history suggests is likely to be a significant portion of the season

    Qld Premier Rugby 2023

Grealy's first two appearances for the Reds were a full 80mins in 2021 - if that's not getting an opportunity then I'm not sure what is... Since then, he's had two appearances of 18 and 23min, and 6 appearances of 10min or less. As others have said, it's stiff competition amongst outside backs...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The Wallabies viewership increases are pretty significant. Can't imagine it slows down this year thanks to the war of words in the media

Of course, but there were questions around Brad's tenure before Heenan signed - I imagine the scenario that eventuated was at least discussed. But yes absolutely agree there is a risk of someone new wanting their own team (à la Eddie) and any arrangement with Heenan being a sticking point...

    Queensland Reds 2024

I can't imagine Heenan would've come in, nor would QRU have brought him in, if there was any suggestion it could only be a 12mo gig

Depending on who you ask, Tate might have been the best halfback in Aus for the last few years running, or someone who doesn't possess the skillset to be anywhere near the national scene. What is it about halfbacks that are always so divisive?
