Reds vs Force Round 2 2016

Yeah, they can. Look at the improvement Cheika found in both the Tahs @ Wobblies in a short time. The Reds have been going backwards ever since RG turned up.

    Brumbies vs Waratahs - Round 2, 2016

I used this function & still missed the ending of some games, when there are delays with injuries etc. Now we just record the show immediately after as well. #bulletproof.

As I understand it,their NRL salary cap is $6.1M & the grant is currently $7.5M pa. Amazingly, despite this,4 of their clubs are under NRL administration.....

That's for playing in the local comp. Rep footy (SG Ball etc) is funded by NRL grants. I heard Gould explain it on radio last year. NRL funding is apportioned to seperate areas of the game to each club. NRL,pres cup, juniors etc. Money for kids can't be used to pay Mitchell Pearces fine for...

Oh, the irony! Tell me for the purposes of accuracy, what exactly is the ARU corporate cost. And what is the current and proposed spend on grassroots? What are your sources?

You are not seriously suggesting that the Bris & Melb sides come stay no cost to anybody? What about the other 5 teams? And the airfares come at no cost to ARU? Im not against this investment,I just contest the view that it comes at no cost to the game.

how are the other 8 teams funded?

on what basis do you surmise the other codes local jnr clubs are subsidising rego fees to a higher level than local jnr Rugby clubs? It's been a few years, but when I was involved in both jnr League & Rugby clubs, the cost to register teams were almost identical.(before the BP levy) Regarding the...

Huh? so automatically the grassroots clubs are less commercially savvy, the moment the ARU places a levy on Rugby clubs? And the levy has zero impact on this? Do you have kids? What's their experience with ARU development? My kids have literally over 50 seasons of Rugby between them if you...

the Rugby clubs are behind the 8 ball,as the other two codes are not levied at grassroots level

I didn't quote Soccer, when you are competing on cost you don't worry about the most expensive option.A mate of mine says he pays about $90 per kid for his 3 to play AFL. Local league teams charge $140 which includes Jersey, shorts, socks & training shirt. Local Rugby $160 + extra for shorts &...

How much does it cost the ARU to conduct a referees course? When I did mine(early 2000's) it was conducted in a SS club, and run by volunteers? It's not a furphy to suggest that both AFL & NRL spend significantly more on a percentage basis than the ARU on the development of the game. Rather...

I have had kids have played both village & School Rugby for over a decade. The clubs & Schools they played with have NEVER seen $1 nor had 1 session with any ARU funded programs. Last year BP placed a levy on any kid wanting to play the sport. That's the grassroots, and that's the contribution...

A lot of League players dont reach their potential, because it's coached out of them by risk averse coaches.

Forget about the cost. As the league campaign said a while ago... "It's never the same unless you're there at the game"

Those 3 were arguably the most important players in his squad, both in terms of performance and leadership. I don't recall any other coaches having anything but praise for the 3 of them. So if there was a problem,it points to one individual doesn't it?

Mike Harris? With all respect to Mike, there are plenty of better performed players that grew up in that famous Qld nursery in North Harbour:)

    Waratahs v Reds Rnd 1 2016

The Reds played to the low level everyone expected. The Tahs took their foot off their throat, once they had a comfortable lead. Dodgy ref calls didn't change the result. I can't see the Reds winning the cripple fight next week. Unless the Tahs improve dramatically, they will be embarrassed next...
