England v Australia, Sunday 19 November 2:00am AEDT

You summed it up. He does the right things just lacks impact. A lot of impact. Struggles to given get metres against backs. I think he'd be better with a full-preseason under his belt in the gym.

I'm just really interested in how Thorn will use Quade. It's such a funny thought of him coaching Quade, given he's played against him and was front and Centre to those grubby moments by Quade like kneeing Richie in the head. Can't imagine he'd have a huge amount of respect for him initially...

Probs put Beale back at 12 and Hunt at 15, Hunt better under the high ball and Beale/Foley worked well in the Rugby Championship. Either way not a big deal though. I just pray McCalman is in for Hanigan.

Wrong poster mate, never said that.

That's a poor point as I could easily say 'how many games have we lost because of his poor kicking?' I don't know the exact number bu it's certainly more then he has won us from his kicking that's for sure. It's really all about consistency and he's got to at least replicate this form next week...

Surely they would have announced expanded squads by now.... but then again it is the ARU.

Agreed. I fear Sio is going to be easily targeted by England.

Kuridrani is such an under-rated player. Great example of what seems like a quiet game at first glace but still having an impact off the ball and always a linch-pin in defence.

    Perfect.

His clearance kicks were short (as usual), and his many bombs were ineffective. He didn't exactly put in any bad kicks but apart from those 2-3 attacking kicks, the rest were neutral kicks at best. So that gets him around a 3/10 ratio for good kicks (kicks that put opposition under pressure)...

Isn't TPN going to Japan? That may be a good option for the longevity of this body playing a less physical game over there but it's also going to make it pretty damn hard for Cheika to gauge if he's up to the intensity Test level rugby brings. Given his age that's always going to be a question...

his 'twin' brother is over-rated. And this is coming from a Brumbies supporter. He has 1-2 moments of impact a game then goes missing for the rest. At the moment a perfect bench option but has a lot to work on to become a solid 80min player. Potential is all there though, but there's potential...

That's what's so good about this win, we are now starting to find a way to win (although historically we have a habit of doing this against Wales - for some reason). It's ironic the defence of Wales seemed so good, as it was their attack that threatened us so many times. I actually think it...

How was Phipps/Powell similar? Powell is a stable decision maker and good passer and Phipps is a somewhat wonky passer and decision maker but adds speed and energy that Powell doesn't have. I wonder is Nic White will be back soon

A nice win and decent game of rugby to watch. It pretty much went as expected. The usual suspects were our biggest weakness: Scrum: Looked shaky to me, worries me for the poms match. Foley: I thought his kicking was good for his standards, which is still average, his bombs just needed that...

Higgers fit yet? Or is he in the same boat as Cooper now? I like this team, apart from Hanigan. You know even if he tries his hardest and plays his best game it still won't be that great. I have more faith in Simmons and that is saying something in itself. Kerevi at 12 is a risk but happy to...

Japan vs Wallabies, Nissan Stadium, Yokohama, Sat 4th Nov 4.40pm AEST

I noticed this too. First time in a long time a player put up solid bombs consistently. I'd love to keep Hodge at 10 if only he could pass... for me he is not just an average passer, he's a poor passer. I'm thinking 12 would be Hodge's long term position.

Coleman the prime example. How many posters were calling for him to get a shot? it took a series of major injuries before he got any game time. Lucky for us he absolutely took his chance and dominated. I don't think anyone can fully give credit to Cheika for discovering or unearthing his...
