Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

I pretty much agree with your thinking behind the slots, though I have differing thoughts on some of the pecking order. It is going to be interesting seeing how Rennie views it.

Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

There are a lot of variables hence a lot of difference in thinking here on how to arrange it. It is a little weird given the team was feeling pretty settled (in the absence of injury) just a short period ago. We don't see what Rennie sees and don't really hear what he is looking for from...

    Wallabies 2023

Lolesio can be a great. I'd argue we haven't seen his ceiling yet, by far. And we've seen some pretty decent/adequate thrown in the deep end against some of the world's greatest teams. He has some distance to travel and the ability to do it. I'm sad that JOC (James O'Connor) seems to have been thrown under the...

    Black Ferns v Wallaroos

Reckon it's time to get excited about women's rugby. We don't have the best history against New Zealand but let's go girls!

    Reds 2023

I read it as he has been told he's out because he is not in form. Foley being called in over him is a real long term threat. So JOC (James O'Connor) is trying to stay centred and having a bit of a laugh about it. Wish him the best, certainly at the Reds, but I don't think his time at the Wallabies is done. At all.

    Reds 2023

Neither Edged nor Donaldson in the squad. We can hope for Quade but the realists have it as unlikely. I'd imagine that Foley is dialled in with Lolesio at this point, but it hardly puts a line through JOC (James O'Connor) going forward. So JOC (James O'Connor) has a fight with Foley as I see it. No way I'm calling that a slam...

    Wallabies 2023

I hope it is more considered than sink or swim. If you are testing something give that thing a chance. Quade had to wait for his shot, makes sense for Foley too except we are running out of time.

    Reds 2023

The only reason I see for JOC (James O'Connor) to drop WB aspirations is if he is losing the desire for pro rugby generally. We have an unproven Foley on board and the 10 ranks at the WBs are wafer thin. I'd hope JOC (James O'Connor) goes for it.

    Wallabies 2023

A bit of discussion around Gleeson. Beale misses, JOC (James O'Connor) out, Hooper still taking time, Campbell in, Foley makes it.

    Wallabies 2023

I'm good with it. I would have preferred that we didn't need to be looking this broadly but it is where we are. Wish the bloke all the best and hope that he is as close to his best form that Quade was, and Kerevi. Welcome back Foley.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

I'd agree with you however my understanding is that Stewart was interested in the Force based on gaining further opportunity at 10. Is Cron the guy to get a 10 out of Stewart? He is certainly a fabulous rugby player and if he can settle there he could be sensational. That said, I could never...

    Refereeing decisions

    Wallabies 2023

The disjunction is that an NZR with power will not do anything that isn't actively to their own benefit. Which is fine. We should also only be interested in what is to the benefit of rugby in Australia. If you can do that we should absolutely stick with NZ. It isn't working out that way.

    Argentina v Australia II @ 5.10am 14/08

Head space has an impact in any position on the rugby field. I also suspect that in a fair contest there are few props who match him when he is together. Kidology though can leave him frustrated. He seems to have gradually picked up on some stuff, not done too well himself in implementing it...

    Wallabies 2023

I agree with you in principle, BH. But we sit at 7 in the world rankings, an equal low for Australia. If it's only temporary as we bounce up, even a little, then that one game is not material. Let's hope this proves the case though I suspect we have a hard road in front of us for the rest of...

    Argentina v Australia II @ 5.10am 14/08

From my POV the criticism of Wright is about Wright at 15 in that game where the back three/four under the highball were hopeless. He certainly did not provide the organisation that is needed at 15. Nor the back three performance that is needed at 14. Is not that we should right the guy off, we...
