Wallabies v Springboks - Adelaide Oval, Sat 27th August, 2022

For goodness sake. Second coming? east, that is called a straw man. There is some reasonable evidence that Hodge has been among the more effective of the Wallabies when he has taken the field - in various roles. The claim is he has deserved to be in the 23 somewhat moreso than many others...

    Yes that is one level.

More than just the article, things are disappointing on many levels. I presume that the Thorn supporters still do so solidly? I suspect we have a rough 12 months in front of us, and attention is hopefully being given to what happens next. Tupou also disappointing on many levels. Not by a long...

It is definitely an advantage if your 15 can drop in to first receiver. No question there.

Yes I know the article - focussed on management at 10, not really the back three. Viking, just for you, I'll keep my mind open. Certainly I wish him the very best tomorrow.

? Sure this would be an advantage. Did we see it against Argentina? For me the management at the back was utterly hopeless. Look I'll keep my mind open as we go forward but I really did not see it in the last test. Far from it.

Allow for the injuries and other reasons players have been unavailable - I'm not convinced that Rennie hasn't been doing this all along. Um Sticking with rotation, not chopping and changing.

The key for these two for me, is success in calling the line out. I wouldn't see both as being ideal. I want a bigger tight head lock for the scrums, and after the caller I want a bulk hulking beast with menace around the field. Arnold maybe in form, but right now I like Swain. In time it could...

Awesome. The one difference for me is I would have started Kellaway at 14, left Wright out and put Petaia at 23. Love the 6/2 though perhaps I'd have considered an extra lock. Like the look of this a lot.

I suspect you are somewhat short on the usual/average territory gained, noting as well that that it is most often implemented at times where any distance is a big deal, treads ng on your own line and the like. Possession static at a point is of no advantage at all. Of course a kick return back...

Yep. Personally my vote is with Paisami and easily, but there is plenty of commentary here that is with you.

Petaia IS good under the high ball. Good enough for the back three. His organisation, talk and management still means he is far from ideal at 15.

Thanks for that Scrans. Tate to 21. Phillip to start, someone has to do the calling. I'm not writing off Arnold yet but he could start from the bench. Agree on 12 Paisami though doesn't seem to have as much support as he did previously. I'd also be tempted to a 6/2, the tight 5 are going to be...

It's the locks that have my eye's boggling. Mostert on the bench for christ's sake.

? 2/3 is Swain Frost Philip. Arnold is a smokey from ou of state who may or may not have something to contribute. Not on his last game but perhaps it was a one off. Rodda is from the last 2/3 not this current one.

    Yes agreed. And Fardy?

Has Fardy done much toward coaching duties at this stage? Matt Taylor we know and love, Brad Davis has at least some experience coaching D.

I don't get this Derp. 14 has to have the same character as a 15, surely. Possibly the one issue being I'd expect a lot more organisation from 15.
