Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

The reason Quade Cooper defends on the wing for the Wallabies is that he's an absolutely hopeless defender. He pulls off some great hits in the loose but he's a complete bunny in the line. The selectors know this but think that's a fair trade for his attacking skills. I broadly agree but...

    Wallabies versus Wales- SFS

Yes, McCabe and Ioane are both brutal defenders and positionally sound. No weaknesses there.

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

He defends at 10 for the Wallabies because he's a turnstile.

    I think that's insulting. :(

I'm sure Timani is being developed. Deans obviously thinks he can exploit the man's athletic gifts, although the many coaches on here will scoff!

Quade v Barnes... Australia's version of Carlos v Mehrtens?

Well said. Cooper shouldn't pay for the Wallabies again until he can tackle. Use the form of Barnes to force the issue. If Kurtley can learn to be a gun defender (and he has) then Quade can too. But he won't unless someone asks him to.

Where to for quality Rugby journalism???

The Herald is a vanity project for Growden, for reasons that aren't clear.

Beale and Cooper in boozy incident

That's true if your mate is having a brain fart, but what if he's not? What if his reaction is proportionate and someone is filming it out of context? We don't know that yet.

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Who cares? We won a fine victory in the dying embers against a fine opposition, the stuff of legend. The negativity of Australian rugby fans drives me to despair. Why aren't you celebrating instead of moaning? Frankly I hate this. I'm out of here. :(

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

They nearly lost to Ireland a superior Ireland tonight. And did lose to us twice last year. They're far from untouchable, even with the KY close to hand.

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Are you saying that the Wallaby scrum disintegration after Kepu and Nau were replaced, is evidence of Robinson not being able to play the full 80? That's frankly delusional.

Is that the New Zealand who struggled against Ireland?

I have a pot of goo and am about to watch the replay. ;)

Wallabies vs Wales - Docklands Stadium June 16

Goo post, cyclopath. The simple fact that the Wallabies fought back from behind to win against a world class team should be cause for great celebration, not hand wringing and despair.
