Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

It's like the axe: you replace it's head and you replace it's shaft, over and over again, but it's still our good old axe and we love it. We ridicule the players, ridicule the administration, ridicule the coach and frequently ridicule each other, but it's still the good old Wallabies and we...

Wallabies vs Wales - Suncorp Stadium June 9

It's very hard to pick a better team with these injuries. Despite a lot of outrage, the only alternative seems to be to pick Fainga'a in various positions.

Any wrong price is good value, and the wronger the better.

    Who's to Blame?

I blame Scotland. They were better then us. In those conditions, is comes down to a few chances. They took theirs, we fluffed ours. Game over. In fact it seems rather strange that 'the other team' isn't on the list.

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Well done Scotland. In the worst of weather conditions, it's always going to be who takes their one or two chances in a game, and Scotland took theirs. I thought we played pretty well, and with the right tactics too. We had the run of most of the game, within the narrow parameters the weather...

    Performance Enhancing Proceedures/Substances..........

But the article's not about drugs, it's (mainly) about surgery. And it makes a very good point: why is taking a drug to increase your endurance bad, but having surgery to increase your strength good? What if the surgery is elective surgery?

    Wallabies team name

Absolutely. No bucks, no Buck Rogers. Sponsorship money helps pay for the national team and the activities of the national union, and trickles down to development and grass-roots rugby. Big ups to QANTAS for sponsoring us.

Can you tell the difference between these jerseys?

They should indeed! I have only slightly degraded eyesight and I can't tell similarly coloured teams apart at the ground, even with my glasses on. The photo in the opening post is ridiculous for me. Brickbats to the people who can see their noses well enough to thumb them at us 'blind' people.

I'll happily debate that one. For all his conservatism with the ball in hand, Barnes got concussed because he repeatedly put his body on the line.

Maybe White on the bench for Saturday. He's been the form half, and he was subbed off in the Brumbies game.

SH team vs NH team....any aussies in the SH team?

    That's ridiculous. Norris should play.

The fundamental problem with Australian Rugby

Andrew Smith is 104kg. There are plenty of big backs around. We should be happy that we have players who are skillful enough to keep them out of the team despite being smaller. There are plenty of potential All Black backline selections where Nonu is the only man over 100kg. The Boks by...

The fundamental problem with Australian Rugby

If Australian teams display good skills against foreign teams, but poor skills in local derbies, then the problem isn't the skills, but the derbies.

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

It's an interesting question, why we lost against Scotland. Watching the game, we never got going. Our players thought they would inevitably overpower / overrun the Scots, but they never did. The intensity was lacking perhaps. But also the Scots played better. They were better. Good luck to...

Brad Thorn's gym training and physical philosophy.

What a fantastic athlete. I'd have him in any team as my enforcer.

Yeah, Higgers Palu & Pocock is a balanced back row.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

I think a better road may be to play like the franchises did a week earlier.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

Me too AlexH. The teams are too close for us to be without Beale, O'Connor, Horwill and Cooper. Wales probably have the best troops now, and us the home ground advantage.

    Wallabies 40 man squad

Tomane is the form Australian winger along with Ioane. I'd be starting him against Wales.

    TPN

Jones' argument was that with a few talented exceptions, the players who are best at scrummaging are different players to those who are best at the breakdown, so he picked front rowers with a higher workrate. It seems to be received wisdom in the NH that the best scrummagers are pot plants...
