Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

What's the fascination with failures from the other code? Happy for them to chase the elite from the other code, but for some reason we only want their rejects?

Probably a good idea if Quade's having an off day:)

They only need to be semi competitive for first 60, to win the game

    HSBC 7's - Round 10 - London

No mate, it's the fact that they were re signed despite not meeting performance goals, that proves the point. Sacking them was an inevitable consequence of extending their contracts.

Nail on head! If you look at some of the players he has recruited to play for Tribe,it's difficult to believe that he is competent.

Right or wrong,I don't think merit is a factor in his selection. But I look how much the honey badger improved in a month with his performance once his conditioning improved. Hayne would be coming off a lower base than the Honey Badger. I'd prefer Hayne on the wing with 10 weeks intensive...

    HSBC 7's - Round 10 - London

You see what you want to see. I see a guy who has never played 7's or 15's with zero cardio behind him and a couple of days learning the rules & their structures, performing adequately. FYI, the Olympics are not next week. I'm betting Friend will be more likely to look the April fool, than Hayne.

It must burn you, that you can't point to any errors from him.

Have they improved the squad with the same resources/budget as their predecessor?

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

happy to disagree. I look at Wells who was one of their better players last year carving up the Canberra comp. If you take the hype away from Henry,he was reasonably well performed in second grade last year, and has since lost a lot of pace trying to bulk up. I think Alan F would only be a good...

Jarryd Hayne signs with Fiji Sevens

Interesting that Friend believes that 7's is so vastly different to 15's that many players can't adapt, yet he was clever enough to make the conversion as a coach in a matter of days. South Africa & New Zealand both had no problems converting their 15's players. Sure the cardio might be...

^^^^^ Not sure, but if they played at Bathurst Stannies won the penalty count:)

You know Pius are playing in the 2's comp? Carving up a Schools seconds team is a long way off schoolboy rep footy.

The current guy made it clear from the outset that QC (Quade Cooper) was unwanted. Why would anyone think he would have any interest in Hayne? Especially at this point of time.

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

It was a rhetorical question, the SA teams flatter each other:) After the Brumbies game, the Saders pulled the Reds pants down, then played in a game that looked a grade above the Oz game that followed it. I hope I'm wrong, but they seem to be a grade above our boys to me.

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

How many NZ sides are part of the 6 Bulls wins? Izzy running off Horwitz is a much lesser animal than Izzy running off KB (Kurtley Beale). Saders just have to go through the motions to win this. We just don't have enough strike power IMO.

    Shute Shield 2016

Great round of Rugby this week. 4 teams got a bonus point for <7 point loss. Wests lost to last year premiers by 8 And the riff..... Most even comp I can remember, usually top 2 or top 4 teams are a grade above the rest. Not like that at all, this year.

On that basis, you'd pick the whole Force squad, excepting the very few in form, wouldn't you?
