    Rd 15 Rebels v Sunwolves

Cottrell very quiet. Maddocks and Koroibete looked good. Sefa Naivalu just destroyed his opposite when given the chance. Timani had some nice touches and Uelese looks rusty.

    Wow. Sorry to hear that.

DHP and Rodda might feature and both bring some experience. Lineout will be key as Ireland will kick to the lines often and play off that set piece. We are going to need to stop the Irish pack in close early and discipline will be very important.

BH, my understanding is that both McMahon and Fardy left because they were no longer offered a top up from RA. If that was the case then you could hardly blame them could you? They had little choice.

The main difference will be in the line out where we could have one or even two further genuine options. This could also present a bit more weight in the scrum and at the breakdown. The line out is the most important and most frequent set piece. Ireland, who have an excellent lineout and maul...

We should absolutely go with a more traditional back row at some point this year, maybe start with one in most tests. Hooper and Pocock should be rotated in the starting side and both should get lots of game time. The Pooper can be used at certain points and most often to close out matches when...

Michael Wells is an great prospect. Might be too early for him? He’s has excellent skills and is very busy. Line out work is pretty sharp as well.

Ned is injured and unlikely for at least the first test.

It looks as though we are well equipped in the second row once again. There are 2 or 3 great starting combos to pick from. Front row is pretty good as well with hooker(s) a little up in the air.

Hopefully Uelese is good to go as our starter. It’s not necessarily a bad thing but the Irish pack is pretty handy.

TPN being rested for the Irish series. We are going to be somewhat under-gunned!

Beale was a revelation in Europe as Fardy is proving to be now. I have no idea what happens to these blokes when they return to Super Rugby. He will be played at 12 and will lift. I don’t like Kerevi in gold at all. While his skill and running ability cannot be questioned he mostly fails to connect with...

Ned Hanigan out for a few weeks and most likely at least for the first Irish test. So a couple of enforced changes will make way for a newish looking back row, compared to last year anyway. Who will start for the Wallabies at 6, 7, and 8?

That was just painful to watch. Real train wreck stuff............

Hanigan is decent in the line out but lacks the running game. To be honest Hooper has a phenomenal running game and Pococks is much improved. Who else is there to balance the Pooper? Hope Timu gets a run at some point against Ireland in a more traditional back row.

We are going to miss McMahons running game

On paper yes, but he was unable to fill the role previously. I’m not sure that the Pooper is still relevant. I’d love to see him at 6 with Pocock at 7 and Timu at 8.

Scott Fardy still had plenty in the tank. Great player but not the final link in the Pooper sadly.
