^ Don't think I want to see mine from last week ..... GWM, How has Carter been handling 10 with the Bulldogs? Heard he has been starting , but not how he is going.

Regardless of wether PE plays 10 or 15 probably only one spot available for Bell and Siolo, as in whatever position PE doesn't play and you would think Burns would get first crack at 9. As BAG said plenty of options for 12/13/11/14. Think you might be on the money GO with 4/5/6/7/8.

Rd 8: Reds v Stormers Friday 5th April

Yep Reg, no doubt the trip home added to it , but he was "up" on his numbers coming home from the Spring Tour , as he a couple others were after the June Tests last year, hence my comment. As Adam84 said though he is doing "extras" , hopefully it will pay off.

Not uncommon for them to come back from Wallabies tours over weight, makes you wonder what they do on them other that run to the buffet. I know he has been doing a bit of boxing , but you wouldn't think that would be a negative.

Think Will Genia was following the same line of thinking.

I heard the final straw was a certain parking space he was asked not to park in, that and the fact the Ritchie McCaw was BT’s captain, the Kiwis will never forget that .

Agree GWM, Think PE’s best spot is 15 (or12), but might end up again at 10 depending on the development of Bell. Plenty of competition in the midfield/outside backs , which is very healthy. Would say a couple spots there to be won with the right attitude and approach to preseason, equaling...

Interestingly , Hudson played #8 in U16a's and benched for the First XV as a prop in 2017. Starting #2 for the First XV 2018. Similar story to Levi White , #8 in 16a's 2016, starting LHP First XV 2017. See a pattern?

^ he has played a couple of positions . Played prop during one trial game . Brothers have Dobby as their first choice #2 who currently is in the Junior Wallaby squad, don't think Hudson will get a run at 2 for colts unless he is injured or gets a call up to 1st grade.

Absolutely, take plan A into each game and if plan A isn’t working, keep going with plan A....... Most would give their favourite schoolboy team a hard time for not adapting to what is in front of them.

R7: Waratahs vs Sunwolves - Friday 29 March @ Newcastle

Spring tours happen in RL too , as do world club challenges . Get your point about travel, would still like to understand the science behind resting players 6 months out from a tournament where you are expected to be at the top of your game for 5 games tops .

R7: Waratahs vs Sunwolves - Friday 29 March @ Newcastle

RWC has four pool games , of which two will be tough. Then assuming you make it all the way through to the big dance, you play three tough games in three weeks . So maybe five tough games of footy in seven to eight weeks IF you go all the way. Reckon if you suggested to any seasoned NRL player...

R7: Waratahs vs Sunwolves - Friday 29 March @ Newcastle

RL has State of Origin , they get a game off the weekend before it , not 6 months out.

    Round 7: Reds v Rebels - Saturday 30 March @ Suncorp

Just watching the replay of the Tahs v Sunwolves, Beale a complete liability in defence. God I hope Kerevi runs a few unders lines back at QC (Quade Cooper) tonight!

13 for me, no doubt will develop the ball playing skills to play 12 with time , but at present I like him at 13.

What I would love to see at GT is the First XV coach having closer eye on the progression of players coming through the school and the positional requirements/ short fallings of future years. As a quick example , last year saw a young fella from year 11 as the second choice No2 behind Hudson...

Didn't see the incident "live", as was sitting the cheap seats with my kids in the Northern stand, only saw the replays , so not sure when it actually happened, but they were showing it on the big screen before and after Hegarty's penalty kick. Was still getting a screening while the Reds were...

Just when you think you know how SANZAR will react to any contact with the head, they role out a bit of old fashioned common sense, amazing! Great result for the Reds and ASY (Angus Scott-Young) , but got to feel sorry for every other poor bastard who “glanced” the head of an opposition player and spent a few...

Speaking of preparation, would imagine the training load for the Reds would have slightly modified this week . The conditions on Sunday afternoon were pretty harsh, hopefully all back up to speed by Saturday to take on the Rebels who are on the way home from SA. The Courier Mail reported today...

True , but Andrew has gone from HC to assistant after only one year and a successful UK tour.
