    NRC onwards and upwards

It's an interesting question. Having lived in Wollongong I don't think many would consider themselves living in the 'country'. However, in terms of sports they are aligned as so.

I'd go back to the Rams if they were to return. Absolutely.
  3. WorkingClassRugger

    NRC onwards and upwards

I supported the Rams right up until Eastwood took over. That should give you an idea.
  4. WorkingClassRugger

    NRC onwards and upwards

Pretty much. I followed the Rams before they became Eastwood because I was born, raised and still live in the western half of the city. When they were cut I jumped to Country as thanks to my junior club being aligned with the Illawarra competition at the time I was a country junior. Seems pretty...

That would be a reasonable alternative.

I'd go Sydney, North Sydney and Country. What the NRC needs is real resourcing behind the promotion and marketing side of the equation. A bit of community engagement wouldn't hurt either. The Rams prior to becoming Eastwood by proxy were beginning to build some momentum in that regard.

They don't either. I assume they think RA will.
  8. WorkingClassRugger

Or you just stick with the NRC.

    NRC onwards and upwards

This is what I think the NRC should evolve into. We have Super Rugby likely going back to a single round robin and GRR developing into itself. Would be an opportunity to have a proper professional national championship.

    NRC onwards and upwards

I'd be perfectly happy for the NRC to remain but with more attention paid to it.

    NRC onwards and upwards

Would a 25 team structure be a little too much to begin with. Wouldn't something a little more slimmed down be a more palatable solution. Say, the Top 6 from Sydney and top 5 from Brisbane. Two from Canberra and a rep side from both Melbourne and Perth. In the case of Perth. Potentially two...

    Waratahs 2020

If I'm being completely honest. I don't really care about their needs. I don't follow either of those teams or their respective sports to be fair.

    Reds 2020

He's got a bit of toe in the NZ clip. Not Tupou quick but certainly nothing like a slow walk.

In this one he carries most of the Tongan team across the line with him. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=522272864850884

    Waratahs 2020

Just saw the list of home homes for the Tahs. Three games at Bankwest, 1 at Brookvale, only 1 at the SCG, Newcastle, Wollongong and Tamworth. If one of those Bankwest games was given to Brookvale so each venue had two games I'd say that would be a pretty ideal split of games. Do we really need...

Top rated program across the demo's as well.

    Expanded Rugby Championship

There are a lot of details that will need to be sorted out. One possible option could be the use of their share of the revenue to directly contract talent. They will have a team in GRR again next year. They could contract essentially two squads of players and either 1)Run a second squad in GRR...

    Expanded Rugby Championship

I may be in the minority but I like the idea of the Bledisloe being a winner takes all contest. We'd have a better chance of nagging it every now and then. As for the RC. Yeah. I like the single round of 5 games. What would be awesome beyond this would be the introduction of a 2nd Div to...

    Expanded Rugby Championship

Apparently both Japan and Fiji will be invited to join the RC with the possibility of the championship also running concurrently alongside Super Rugby. https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/sport/rugby/japan-fiji-invited-into-expanded-rugby-championship-report

2019 TV ratings and crowd numbers

Not good for the A-League considering this is the early stages of what many believe to be a pivotal season in regards to its long term prospects. Especially when their ratings tend to fall away around BBL time and stay down.
