I don't disagree that TK is the best 13 we have by miles, I just think those stats are overstating things a tad

Yeah, he is good, he is a edge back rower in the NRL, that is a good facsimile of a crash ball 12. Strong defender, strong runner and can pass. Add to that he was a very good Aus Schools 12 - he is a good purchase.

Despite the injuries he has still played 100 first grade games and is only 23 - so, so far he has demonstrated a good load of durability

It will help to have a big 12 to hand the ball off to and a 9 who can easily do a load of the kicking. They won't be perfect, but I see no other choice but to back them

Any ranking of players that doesn't devalue the value of form in the first say 7 odd games will never be accurate, we all know Super Rugby gets hard at the back end of the season. The Test players all come back from light preseasons, players are being rotated and sides are still working stuff out, shit...

Kerevi’s passing game has improved because the support runners have been running better lines, more from depth, less from width

I would be amazed to see Banks get a serious run this year in any games that are important, bench at best

We all know it is more complicated than that and a number of Maddock's best moments were running lines on the inside channels and great kick catches

He did, but it is also part of a units skill set to be in that right position, running the right line to stroll over almost untouched

It depends if you are happy to deal with Beale's fluxuations - he can be a rooster one minute and a feather duster the next at test level. I believe the RWC is going to be all about defense and as such he is going to struggle against the good line speed and kick chases We have seen against...

We haven't had a new rule in a while ...

I don't know why the linesman can't set a 5m line by standing 5m back from the ruck and using that pretty flag to highlight an infringement

Interesting options and analysis from Jake White https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/super-rugby/114119210/super-rugby-exboks-coach-jake-white-says-crusaders-tactics-reason-for-rule-changes

Foley and Lealiifano are pretty interchangeable style wise, neither kicks long, but they are both essentially reliable and look best squaring up and attacking the gain line Unfortunately that requires some pigs going forward first

If only supporters didn't boo kicking and reporters complain when sides kick too much - culturally we want running rugby

But we can't pull someone out of our arse a few weeks before a RWC who can kick.

Does anyone actually believe this Aus side will win a RWC match through a superior kicking game? So why are we spending so much time worrying about what we don't have instead of working to our strengths and developing plans to try to hide our weaknesses

Well I don't think we can win the cup full stop, quarters is a pass IMHO (we ain't that good), semis is a win, final would be "WTF - how?", win the thing would be a miracle

He is the best we have, he ain't Beauden Barrett, but he is it. You may disagree, fine, but that is my opinion. So you work to his strengths and supplement his weaknesses through an intelligent game plan, to me it is only logical. His key weakness everyone highlights is the length of his...
