    Back at training.....

All the players should be back in training over the next day or two so who do you think will come back overweight / unfit after the holiday period? My money is on Turinui (easy bet), Tuqiri (past history), Beale and Dunning.

    Happy Christmas!

Happy New Year everyone. Hope your rugby teams surpass your expectations and you aren't disappointed when Queensland wins the S14!

    Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone hope Santa left what you were looking for under the tree (I didn;t get my national comp or return of test series). When you drink make sure you don't drive over the limit....

    John Mitchell

Nuci joined the Brumbies after Eddie Jones. Agree with you about Gitteau or any other player who wants who tries to destabilise a team to get out of a contract.

    John Mitchell

I thought the most interesting bit in the article was: Any ideas to what the restrictions might be? Also, could his support problems be similar to the perceived problems of Eddie Jones in that he is too much of a control freak who won't let them do their jobs.

    The Official Australian 7s Thread

That's the guy Lee. Thought he was almost as big as Coridas unless I'm getting my names confused (again).

    The Official Australian 7s Thread

I've seen a few games the Oz 7s have played on FOX in the past couple of weeks and three players really stood out as a class above - Ben Coridas, Luke Morahan (seems to have a ton of pace) and Richard Kingi. There were also a couple of promising young guys one from Parramatta (can't remember his...

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

I'm catching a train down and will work out which is the closest station and go from there. Lindo, I only vaguely know the names of those streets - I am a coastie raised and the time I lived in Sydney I spent all my time out in the western suburbs and avoided the city like the plague.

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

So who do I phone on Monday night when I get lost trying to find the venue? I get lost in the city very easily....

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

That's a piss-week excuse Nick. I'm travelling down from The Entrance (via public transport I might add) to have a beer with the boys whilst you can't travel the rather short distance from Rouse Hill.

    an uncapped Wallaby team

Surely there are better uncapped props than Gareth Hardy? Jerry Y being one example. Dingo seems to be gettign rid of seagulling forwards so any chance Hardy had of making the Wallabies has all but disappeared.

    Ones to watch in 09

'tahs - Beau Robinson. Will he surpass Phil Waugh as the number one openside at NSW? - TPN. Will he throw the ball in accurately, on a regular basis, anywehre beyond 2 in the lineouts? Brumbies - Guy Shepherdson. Will he bounce back to '07 form or is he sliding into obscurity? - Mitchell...

    Scarf Christmas drinks in Sydney

If you make it the 22nd I should be able to make it down from the coast.... where would we be looking at doing this by the way? and will the wearing of yellow scarfs be mandatory?

    Al Baxter's successor

Wasn't je a tighthead prop originally for the Reds? I vaguely recall in his debut season him wearing the 3 jumper on a number of occasions.

    Baa Baas V Wallabies

As long as he doesn't overdo it in the gym as Waugh has and Smith did (for a while). At openside speed is probably a greater asset than strength and too much bulk will slow him down as it has Waugh and did to Smith (who seems to have trimmed down this year).

    Quade v Kurtley

I look into my crystal ball and see a Brumbies jumper that could make the KB (Kurtley Beale)/QC (Quade Cooper) debate moot. I will be watching Lealifano's battle to nail down the starting jumper as Matt To'omua matures. Having heard about him on this forum and watched him once or twice for Easts IMHO this kid is the real deal...

World XV 2008 - Backrow Nominations

Voting has been close in a 2 of these positions (I'll let you guess which one hasn't been close) with less than 24 hours of voting to go. Naza's boy Palu didn't even get nominated so I'm not sure what's happening there :nta:

Rate the Wallabies 2008 Spring Tour

I thought we were okay but want to see the Wallabies developing an extra gear in our play. If I never see an aimless kick again it will be too soon, I don't mind them kicking but make sure that every kick leads to a contest for possession. Also, the handling still needs a lot of work as too many...
