    Any lawyers here?

I agree Link will not, and should not, be judged on his results this year.

Time to throw out the bath water

From my point of view, I see all of these guys, with the exception of Alexander, as guys that should be involved in our world cup tilt. But they are clearly all out of form at the moment. Mowen and Slipper played some great rugby earlier this year but their form has dropped off terribly. This...

Time to throw out the bath water

I'm kinda surprised that Pek Cowan wasn't called up this year (injured?). He had a great Super season this year, both in the scrums and with good involvement around the park. He's a tough nut that seems to be growing into a solid LH. I distantly remember him scrumming Paddy Ryan into the ground...

Time to throw out the bath water

I'm really confused as to what I saw going on at scrum time last week. We looked very solid on our own ball. I cant remember more than 1 or 2 occasions when we were actually marched backwards. Most of it was the scrums being turned or pushing side ways and every time the ref blew a penalty for...

Time to throw out the bath water

I don't see why people don't rate Simmons. He's a great lineout tactician and puts a lot of pressure on the opposition throw ins. Same with Kepu, to a lesser extent. Id say he's clearly our best TH at scrum time. Average at best around the park but look at Adam Jones FFS. There is a reason he...

Time to throw out the bath water

This is the real problem that we need to address. Alexander has had a lot of time invested in him and he just doesn't seem to have improved at all. Yes he puts in a few decent scrummaging performances each year, but without fail he is completely dominated at some point. The RWC 2015 will be...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

lame. choked talk about shit refereeing. those calls early in the second half gifted the poms the game. also the ref just handed the english scrum penalties but when the wobs got a push on he just reset. Timani did nothing i thought, but id probably have to watch again sober

Yes you should be able to find an illlegal stream online fairly easily. I would list some sites but i understand that's a no no on this forum

    James Horwill stripped of captaincy

i cant agree with this. no.10s are regularly considered for the role of VC. Its logical to rely on the bloke that's leading you around the park. If he was given the Captaincy that would be a different story.

    James Horwill stripped of captaincy

Finally, to QC (Quade Cooper). Whilst 2013 has been a difficult year for wallabies fans, its been an absolute pleasure to see QC (Quade Cooper) turn his career around Well done sir!

    James Horwill stripped of captaincy

I think it's a great move. Horwill needs to concentrate on his own game first and foremost. I suspect we'll see an improved performance from him this week. I expect Mowen will also give an extra 10% this week. He really is a guy that seems to relish the captain's arm band. Moving forward I...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

No Simmons is a loss from my point of view. He put the Blacks under pressure at the lineout last week, I think he is starting to come into his own as a test player and I see him as a starter come the WC. Also I think that prevent us benching Horwill. I expected we'd have a major advantage in...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

The games this year (and next) against England and Wales are really important to our World Cup hopes. If we could get wins against both this year it would give us a good mental edge going into the WC.

    We can beat that bunch

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

I agree with most of your comment but I think its a bit hard on Slipper to say he's "substantially out of form". He was poor against the Blacks, however I would say he was one of our better forwards in a number of the Rugby Championship Games. He'll bounce back. Nevertheless I wouldn't start...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

yeah you're both right to a degree. Smith jumped before he was pushed. It seems like he saw the writing on the wall (namely (a) Deans had a habit of discarding veterans and (b) Pocock was probably the preferred 7 at that time) and decided he'd focus his energy elsewhere and make some retirement...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

This is true, although I think it's worth noting that Higgers really seemed to be hitting a new level before his injury this year. At the Reds set-up he played a bit wider and did less grunt work (presumably by design). That style didn't translate as well for test rugby, unsurprisingly. At the...

Backrow next year: 6. Higgers/Fardy 7. Pocock/Hooper 8. Palu/Mowen Some good depth building there... and that's leaving out the likes of MMM, McCalman and Gill

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

Hooper at 12 is not the best idea but I do think you could confidently have Hooper on the bench covering backrow and centre if you wanted to play only two backs on the bench
