    Wallabies 2023

Gleeson got picked ahead of him based on not much at all Wilson got 1 chance at 6 and got dropped straight away. Holloway was allowed 6 straight bad games before he finally had a good one

    Wallabies 2023

Yet a lot of others who have struggled (Gordon, Holloway, Poreki, Paisami etc) all still get picked regardless Anyone would be pissed with Rennie's coin toss selections

To be fair none of this would be happening if Rennie won more games. If he doesn't want to be undermined, don't lose 65% of your games

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

About as relevant as South Africa losing a pool game at the last world cup

I think everyone worrys too much about chasing these young athletes. Focus on the players that do want to play the sport and coach them to play it properly

    Australian Rugby / RA

Difference is NZ can afford to get it wrong at coach. Even with a clown like Foster they can still manage 7 wins in a row

Nucifora told us to kick rocks Cant really blame him with the sendoff he got

I'm no fan of Rennie, but I'd give him a lifetime contract before I'd even let Eddie back in the building

SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) 2023 General Chat

Gatland was not the coach. He was virtually sacked and given a pointless title and told to stay in his office and let McMillian do his job

It's not zero though is it. He has already stated this will be his last season with the Crusaders and he wants an international job, he wants to win a World Cup with 2 separate nations. If the AB's pass him up again for Schmidt or Joseph or any of the other more corporate coaches they prefer...

Yeah he's only won 6 straight Super Rugby titles, hasn't proved anything yet

You may want to read up the thread. It has been mentioned that Jamie Joseph’s coaching of a tier 2 test nation makes him a better qualified coach than Robertson

From some of these comments you’d have though Robertson took over a juggernaut Crusaders team Maybe people are unaware, but they hadn’t won a title for almost a decade when Robertson took over

The goal should be to become number 1 though. Ireland have won 12 straight tests with a 9 and 12 NZ didn't want and a winger Australia didn't want We talk as if we are some tier 2 nation or something. Realistic or not, the Wallabies need to have grand aspirations

This isn't a popularity contest, it's a professional sporting environment

What's more impressive about Jamie Joseph exactly?
  17. Tomthumb

    Australian Rugby / RA

Why is he guaranteed that? Is Rugby Australia content with losing? At least England and Wales held their coaches to KPI's. Rennie is held up as this god like figure despite having a win-loss record not dissimilar to Wayne Pivac

The Crusaders hadn't won Super Rugby for 8 years when Robertson showed up Since he showed up in 2017 they have won every super rugby title

That's not true though. As a coach Razor has won at NZ club level, NPC level, National under 20's level and Super Rugby level I think people should look into his coaching record. It's much more impressive than Dean's (or Rennie's for that matter)

Yeah but having the ability to put players into space without tedious scripted plays is what should be focused on by coaches at all grades regardless This is a nation that has won 3 world cups, I'm kinda sick of this "we have no plyers" stuff. If Ireland can be the best team in the world, so can we
