I guess we should start congratulating the Chiefs assistant coach for winning those super rugby titles

Enviable position? He took over an England side that had just been knocked out in the pool stages of the World cup to a Welsh side playing a halfback on the wing So who else do you want to give credit for coaching the greatest upset of all time in Japan beating South Africa? The Ball boy?

This will be the last I respond to this nonsense, as saying a man with a 36% record that replaced a man with a 50% win record greatly improved his team is just nonsensical. - Massive injury toll? Mainly his fault. He had the same problem at the Chiefs, he over trains players and they break...

This Rennie PR campaign continuing here I see Yeah, he did a great job getting a 38% win record out of a tier 1 nation. Covid only affected Australia apparently as no other team has used this as an excuse

No one that tackles as badly as Nic White can be considered world class IMO

    Wallabies 2023

This attitude has been around for a while now There is an acceptance of losing that isn't helped by low fan expectations that put zero accountability on the players

    Wallabies 2023

With Eddie being a well noted control freak, I can’t see him sitting in an office while someone else coaches the team

They didn't always have complete skillsets. Aaron Smith used to be terrible at box kicks, Faf wasnt as good at them either. Gibson-Park had to develop alot These guys didn't just become great overnight, they were developed by good coaching and had good intangibles

    Wallabies 2023

It's a skillset that can be developed, as seen by Aaron Smith, Faf, Gibson-Park etc. Tate has the intangibles to develop, Gordon doesn't

While I agree the box kick is important to an extent, just trying to copy things the top teams do hasn't worked for us for the last 20 years At a certain point you just need to play to the strengths of the players you have

    Wallabies 2023

I'd argue that he isn't better (not a QLD supporter), but if your point is both are rubbish at passing but Gordon is slightly less rubbish and that is a real reason to keep picking him I cant help you Tate is better at nearly everything else, the team plays better with him out there and the...

This fallacy that Jake Gordon is a good passer needs to stop. It's like calling Al Baxter a good scrumager

    Wallabies 2023

He was the only Wallaby to kick a 50/22 in the rugby championship, so to say he cant kick is an exaggeration. And I'd take Tate's pass over Gordon's every day of the week

    Wallabies 2023

I agree with them all being not up to world level, the lack of development around certain positions (2, 9, 10, 15) has been a massive issue for a while now Which is why the notion that we have developed so much depth with Rennie is a fallacy. We may have handed out more test caps, and we may...

    What's your point here?

    Wallabies 2023

Stop the "Rennie was unlucky" rubbish He and he alone is the reason he no longer has a job. The talent pool is fine, if the only way to be successful is having all the best players it kind of makes coaching pointless Ad the reason he had so many players unavailable had a lot to do with his...

At international level? If I won an art contest when I was 6 years old, doesn’t make me Picasso

    Wallabies 2023

We are a dead team walking regardless, so no issue getting rid of the least successful coach in Australian history, his own assistants were even running as far as they could from him Signing Eddie on the other hand? yuck
