Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

Don't go putting the jinx on us. From the precedent Robbie has set, and the ridiculous comments from Andrew Blades, don't be surprised to see Ma'afood starting at loosehead.

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

Wow that was really out of left field there Ulrich. I didn't know those guys were in the Wallaby squad. :p

    Wallabies vs Scotland - 5 June 2012

I like the selections you have made in the pack, but the single biggest problem with the backline is that Cooper is the only recognised goalkicker. I honestly think that Harris or Barnes (or both) simply as they are better goalkickers. Other than that, I think it is pretty spot on. I really...

    2012 S15 SA Conference

Looks like Frans Steyn is headed back to Durban. He could even feature in the last couple of Shorks games this season. http://www.rugby365.com/tournaments/super14/news/2889605.htm

Ok, here we go. Do you believe that the phenomenon of global warming is a result of anthropogenic processes or is it due to natural occurrences? Please discuss your answers in detail and provide references when situating your argument.

Unfortunately, we are not really spoilt for choice at the moment. Harris might just be the best we have available. Unless you want Ma'afu kicking for goal. :p

Considering goalkicking, and factoring in Deans logic, I would not at all be surprised to see a backline of: 9. Genia 10. Barnes 11. Ioane 12. McCabe 13. Horne 14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 15. Harris

Another consideration would be goalkicking. A guy like Mike Harris might get a spot in the run on team, as it would look like only Barnes and Cooper are the only goalkicking options left. And lets face it, Cooper kicking for goal is in no way optimal, and Barnes does not yet seem fully confident...

Rebels vs Brumbies Super Rugby Rnd 15 2012

The ongoing injuries in the Rebels backs are giving Huxley a continual lifeline. The sooner the Rebels get a chance to dump him, the better off they will be.

Ma'afu to slot into 10. Although they would have to wreck two perfectly good jerseys just to make one that would fit him.

    Wallabies 40 man squad

I think the boys should get Ma'afu on the podcast, just to ask him what pictures of Deans he has. Are they of Deans and J'ON in some sort of steamy encounter? Deans in a loving embrace with Growden? I also have to agree that Mowen was ripped off. So who will the skipper be though? Genia...

2012R14 The battle of the TAHS (Chee vs Wara)@ Osfontein.

I saw Taf on the ground numerous occasions also. He leads with the wrong shoulder everytime. It looks like that he leads with his left shoulder. When he hits someone, instead of his head being on the outside, it is on the inside. As he attempts to cut down the attacker, invariably the tackled...

    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

On the back of a 500+ score this week, I have swept back into the GAGR top 50!

Brumbies v Reds Super Rugby round 14

I have to agree there. There was no real flow to the game. Players constantly infringed, and you can't blame the ref for doing what he is paid to do - ref the game. Neither team was willing to take the game by the scruff of the neck. They were too busy niggling each other.

Mike Harris is eligible to play for the wallabies. What time is Robbie announcing the squad?

2012S15 Overall Log: Road to the play offs

Yeah I'm pretty pissed at the Sharks for winning. For the Reds to get in, they need to win every game, and bank in the arse falling out of the Sharks, Highalnders and even the Hurricanes to a lesser extent.

2012R14 The battle of the TAHS (Chee vs Wara)@ Osfontein.

Well there is a first. I actually agree with you on that one WJ. Another of the problems Barnes is facing is that no-one is giving him any options outside. It takes two to tango, Barnes can't physically force guys to hit the ball on the cut or at pace.

Wallabies v Wales: Name Your Best XV

I agree. Roberts is such a key player in the Welsh backline. He will always create room on the outside, as he always attracts multiple defenders. On crash ball, he always makes the gain line. However, the Welsh still have plenty of firepower in the backline to really worry us. This will be a...

    G&GR Fantasy Rugby Competition 2012

Welcome aboard FazzDog. Some interesting selections you have there. Good to see that you also have Moore as your skipper. :) I have noticed that GAGR has slipped to 2 in the league ranking. I would blame SFR, but she has more points than me overall. However, in the last few weeks I have moved...

I also deliberated over swapping Sharpie for Etzebeth. I went for Sharpe. Therefore, I would usually suggest that you pick Etzebeth. However, my team has recently had a resurgence in both form and being free from injury. :) I did resort to checking the points history of both players when...
