I think that might work better than the bye! I would have the third team playing sideways though. So it would pan out something like "Crusaders vs Chiefs, with the Stormers playing sideways". The touchline could be the try line for the third team. That way, teams save money on linemarking.

I would suggest that we create another team of up and comers, and call them the 'bye'. In a similar fashion to the barbarians, they wouldn't have a home ground, but instead travel to their designated oppositions home ground every week.

I think the conference system is most unfair to the Lions. As they have to play the Bulls, Sharks and Stormers more, how can they expect to make the finals? Not to mention that they have to constantly duke it out with the Cheetahs. And that is the most unfair part of it all. Now the Cheetahs...

And Link has done well coaching the Reds. I did actually say that White has credentials, but in the context of Australian rugby, Link is the man. Jake White has taken over a provincial team, we are talking about the national team here.

It didn't look good. I would guess that he will get a week. However, going by the precedent set by the judiciary, he could get 8 weeks, or he could get off with a warning. The fact that Barnes went off as a result of Quades tackle could count against him though.
