    Go the Chiefs

Yep, make room on the bandwagon for me..go the Chiefs! And with you as well Biffo, Muliaina is excellent.

Canes defeated Reds thread (getting in early)

Well, a brave effort from a seriously undermanned Reds. They went within a whisker of securing the second bonus point right at the death, and showed some real heart. I thought the Canes were going to put on 50+ to not much after the first ten, so the scoreline in the end was a credit to the...

    James O'Connor

Lee has referred to him in the past as a 'brown Michael Lynagh'. That's probably the best description for him. Plays like a classic 10 and at school level directed play and controlled games superbly through a combination of footy nous, good passing and astute and skilful kicking. When that fully...

    Reds v Cru Zzzzzz

Looks like a long term S14 prospect. Doesn't hurt him to have Crofty mentoring him at Brothers either. Going to the game tonight so will keep an eye on his play. Not sure of the squad but I don't think Tapuai is in. Pity, as I think he is about ready to step up.

    James O'Connor

I always knew Rabbit was good but didn't realise he would develop this quickly. I remember watching him at a 15's carnival and being so impressed that at the end of the carnival I walked up to him and shook his hand. At the time size seemed to be his only hurdle but he looks to have overcome...

George Smith Commits to Brumbies for 2 more years

How good are the Brumbies going to be next year.... Don't know how they will retain all their inside backs though, particularly if rumours about JOC (James O'Connor) moving over are on the mark. If I was To'omua, I would consider a move west.

    Reds v Cru Zzzzzz

They were never going to win but it was a brave effort. Good to see a few of the young brigade get on the paddock.

    Brumbies Halfback

I reckon Genia was the pick of the halves before his injury with Valentine next best.

    Oz U20 Team

It will be very interesting to see who the top XV will be. Starting 10 will be probably be Beale but in 2007 To'omua worked very well inside Tapuai and Horne at schools level. Interesting to note who isn't there. Peter Betham and Brent Hamlin from the Brumbies must be injured. And from the Reds...

    dREDfull

Good call there FOS although Turinui should be back from injury in 2010 and will cover the 13 spot. I still think Andrew Walker should not have been let go this season, particularly when they still have only 32 in the squad. His value at Easts is priceless.

    Reds V Lions

Starts too soon after Club games so will pass. Curtain raiser is Churchie v Terrace which should be a good game.

    Reds v Clan

Vaalu is a 'safe' option and probably offers more defensively than the rookies at this stage. I reckon Morahan might be close though. It was good to see Hynes back but I was disappointed in a few of his kicks, they seemed pointless and badly directed. Definitely a better side with him there...

    Brumbies vs Stormers

Yeah, good result for a number of reasons. The Applause thing worked well and was a nce touch.

    Cheetahs waiste Sharks

Nothing seemed to go right for the Sharks but well done to the Cheetahs. An enjoyable game to watch. Is the fullback the biggest 15 in world rugby or what!

Best All Black team and opposition named 1984-2008

Lots of good players not in the nominated International team. Serge Blanco was a favourite of mine.

If he hadn't been suspended I reckon Genia would have cemented his spot as Australia's best performed halfback this year, so yeah TOCC, you got it right..

He's only on the bench but I reckon that's good enough for me to claim my "Lee Grant moment".
