    Waratahs 2024

He had sex in a pub bathroom, with someone who wasn't his wife. That part is not in dispute and had it been that he was just kicked out of the pub for it at the time he would've ended up with a long stint on the sideline minimum. Given his history of off field incidents it's even money his...

Reds v Waratahs - Roma Festival of Rugby 10 Feb

Whether or not Kurtley plays for the tahs again there's next to no chance he jumps on a plane to Roma for a trial tomorrow evening, so I don't see much point discussing him in this thread. There's more than enough chat about it going on in the tahs thread, how about we keep it to just that one...

Super Rugby Trial Round 2 - Force V Brumbies 10 February 5pm WST

No Naiyaravoro doesn't look too good for his chances of a full contract. Do the Force have anymore trials after this one?

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah, probably would've preferred the Georgia game up first to build into the season but otherwise it's about as good as he could've hoped for. Even the NZ game is in Wellington, which is significantly better than Eden park. I wonder if they'll try for a warm up game on the way North still, if...

    Wallabies 2024

Weird choice to play so many games in Sydney, I thought they might've wanted to sell tickets.

    Queensland Reds 2024

Knee injury, "Looks way worse than it is" according to the man himself: In summary his knee swelled up badly the night after training when everything was otherwise going well, he originally thought it was season ending when it first happened. Was much better after getting it drained and no...

Reds v Waratahs - Roma Festival of Rugby 10 Feb

They could be swapped but I don't think the numbers are really indicating they will be, it's probably just due to the jerseys available in different sizes. A lot of the bench last weekend were wearing duplicate starter numbers, Henry included. I don't think they bother getting jerseys numbered...

Reds v Waratahs - Roma Festival of Rugby 10 Feb

It was mentioned that Blyth had a knee injury in the team list for the trial against the Force. No mention of how long he's out for or if Annan is injured.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Worth noting the claim is that RA are partly responsible as a signatory to the contract, not solely responsible. If successful it doesn't absolve the Rebels board or organization of their responsibilities, at best it would only offset some of the ATO debt.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Is anyone specifically making hard to sell tickets or is it a consequence of the voluntary administration and related legislation that needs to be worked through?

Reds v Waratahs - Roma Festival of Rugby 10 Feb

https://www.rugby.com.au/news/queensland-reds-name-team-for-santos-festival-of-rugby-trial-202428 Good to see Nasser, Smith and Lynagh all ready to go and getting a run here.

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

Looks like Andy Friend has set up his own performance consulting business: I'd guess this probably rules him out of an assistant coaching role on Schmidt's team, at least in the near future. Might still make sense in a more casual consulting role though, particularly around coaching development.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

It's largely the same fields as I understand it, which is a big part of the problem - conditions are expected to be the same. They have dropped Paarl though, which from my memory was the worst of the fields last time.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Initial schedule and pools (might have already been out) have also been announced: Just about the best draw we could've gotten I think.

    Aussie Player Exodus

Possibly Italy offers a top up, but it might also be the appeal of playing test rugby and he sees that as more likely elsewhere. A bit disappointed he's not coming to Australia, but as long as he doesn't turn out for England I'll count that as a win.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Back to South Africa again this year for the under 20 world cup: https://www.world.rugby/news/904512/south-africa-and-scotland-to-host-world-rugby-u20-competitions-in-2024 This seems like an odd decision, even South Africans on twitter don't understand it. Only reason I can see for the repeat...

    Brumbies 2024

Shaw is definitely a talent, but I do wonder if they're keen to bring him on a little slower given his age and the fact that they're still trialing Sankey. It may also be that Mowen thinks he's got something specific to offer, given he appears to have followed him down from Easts. For mine the...

    Western Force 2024

That's horrible luck, he was playing such good footy at the end of 2022 before the first one, I was really hoping he'd have the chance to pick that back up again this year at the Force. Hopefully he's able to make it back on the field this season.
