RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Off the bench he has. He hasn't performed well as a starter - although I have confidence he could do well he hasn't exactly had many opportunities yet.

Beale the big weakness at the back, but after dropping JOC (James O'Connor) you need that extra play-maker. Cheika is really going high risk, high reward for this one. On paper, England the much better squad. But I'm hopeful and bloody excited for this game.

McMahon at 6 would be so damn handy right about now.

Lawes and Itoje is a damn good locking combo.

Not a fan Beale starting, but you certainly need him on the bench. His only good performance this year (All Blacks - Perth) he carved it up in the last 20minutes. If we are struggling then we need to take a risk and chuck on some-one who can open up a game - Beale can do this in the last...

JOC (James O'Connor)'s defence hasn't been too crash hot, so maybe Petaia ill actually be better in this department.

I'm fine with the risk on Jordy, if that is the case. More worried about the big target on Beale at fullback, seems like an easy high ball target. And I hope his 50/50 offloads come off because he's made the occasional break but lost the ball into contact on most occasions. DHP much safer and...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I think it really depends on the ref and how they interpret the breakdown. I couldn't help thinking watching the Scotland V Japan game that Pocock would have carved it up. But then his turnovers against Fiji (i think it was Fiji) were penalised which seemed legal at first glace. You may be...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

The rules are the same. There was the exact same argument last RWC: "it's harder to get turnovers - he won't be able to get turnovers anymore - the rules are against it now blah blah".... and then he came out and was close the player of the tournament. Looking at this tournament there have...

Curry & Underhill V Hooper and Pocock is a great match up.

I'm in the same boat. Massive Pocock fan. 9 times out of 10 I'd be choosing Pocock ahead of Hooper. Unfortunately this is the 1 out of 10 where Hooper gets the nod (if only one was selected).

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

Think he was struggling a bit from match fitness. Despite this his involvement in each game hitting rucks and making tackles still pretty high. And it's gotten better each game he's played. He should be firing again against England after getting some confidence against Georgia - depending on...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

If I was England and wanted to really attack the set-piece I'd consider moving Itoje to 6 and having another 2 specialist locks.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I think I must be the only one who is more worried about the scrum then the line-out. England's scrum is top notch and ours whilst solid, I think England have the edge and could win a few penalties. Sio and AAA have been penalised before against the English pack. Our line-out has been...

The French refs seem much stricter for fetchers winning the ball which is going to work against Pocock significantly.

I love how Jaco at the end says to Hooper "i think your player was using the shoulder too" - wtf? Its not illegal for the ball carrier to do that. Crazy. Farrell's gotten away with a few of those, the hit on the SA bloke was even worse too.

This is not good. I'd probably look at Pocock off the bench with a French ref. Ben O'Keefe should be reffing a final, he did well in the Japan Scotland game. How does Skeen still have a job? Hopefully we trained with 14 men as no doubt there will be some cards going around

Cheika said in a press conference he sat out training due to the concussion procedures but expected to be available.

That's a tough call. I think Naisa still makes more run metres then Dempsey, despite Dempsey's footwork. And Dempsey is making more errors. I feel he's a good 3-4 games off having some good form. Based on the international season I still feel Naisa has played better.

    Rugby World Cup 2019

I am loving how competitive rugby is at the moment, any one of those teams can win on their day. Although All Blacks clearly a level above with consistency.
