    Waratahs 2015

Er, no, most Tahs fans on here were celebrating when Foley left to the Force. And note what I wrote above. Jason Allen may be the loveliest guy on the face on the earth, but it means jack in regards to his ability to do his job. That has to be judged solely on its own merits, and from the...

    Waratahs 2015

An actual major sponsor, instead of a non-major sponsor pushed there as they couldn't get one on board in time? Or, as mentioned above, not re-signing Foley straight up to get Cheika? The way it played out was more from luck than any real foresight. Can you also categorically say that Allen...

    The League Media

Dummy half vs scrum half comparisons are rubbish, because in league the attacking side don't commit to the ruck - they already are set for the next play. They also get a clean play the ball. The play is a lot more regular. In comparison the rugby scrum half has to deal with variety of...

    Waratahs 2015

Skelton also needs to get his backside and shoulders down in the scrum, he packs too high. I suspect it may be a flexibility issue as he struggles with being larger than the other lock. He is also guilty of lots of flopping at rucks, which is understandable given his size and fitness. I...

    Qld Ctry v Rams — Thurs 18th Sept — @ Ballymore

I actually saw JJT make a few tackles from Rams half breaks towards the end, which astounded me to no end. Not sure I would name JJT as MotM due to a few erros (yellow card, not finding touch from a penalty for instance), but he wasn't as bad as expected. Not Super level though for mine...

NSW Country Eagles v Melbourne Rising, NRC round 5, Orange Saturday 20 September

When the Reds lost to a NZ side (the Chiefs was it?) in NZ, someone (Latham?) claimed it was because they were so bored there in the lead up to the game as there was nothing to do. edit: yes, I ignored your pun ;)

The old Chris Latham (I think it was?) excuse!

Yeah, Eagles scrum will get demolished - it got beaten by City who in turn were beaten by the Rising, and the Eagles scrum also get beaten by Qld Country too. Can't see the Rising being beaten at the moment.

    Western Force 2015

That travel arrangement is actually really nice, two week tour of NZ, two week tour of the eat cost of Aus, two week tour of SA. A second two week tour of the east coast of Aus maybe would be the only improvement.

    Qld Ctry v Rams — Thurs 18th Sept — @ Ballymore

Jees, you wouldn't realise that the Country coach is a backs coach, would you? Their attack is just so pedestrian. In some painful ways Country remind me of the Reds from this year. Rams looked a lot more threatening on attack. Scrums were a mess a bit, but the Rams starting LHP to me seemed...

    Qld Ctry v Rams — Thurs 18th Sept — @ Ballymore

Unfortunate for Johnson, whose comeback lasted one whole game. The backs are the real weakness for Country, Ant has looked good mostly, and JJ looks good in space (but still can't tackle to save his life), but otherwise they've been pretty uninspiring. Would like to see Magnay get a bit more...

    Qld Ctry v Rams — Thurs 18th Sept — @ Ballymore

Are you sure about the Rams making the final? I can name a couple teams ahead of them quite easily based on the games I have watched so far. The Rams two wins have come from the mostly second stringers from the Spirit and the Stars, who are odds on favourite for the wooden spoon right now...

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

These games were funny ones, as though they were both within a converted try, I always felt as if we were safe and were comfortably the better side.

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

I thought that the reason the Pumas came back against us was a lot about the set piece. We lost two of our own lineouts (one not straight, one that was too low and picked off), and then our scrum was basically going backwards from 55 minutes on meaning that Argentina dominated territory. The...

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

The late break from the Puma 10 was because of a defensive screw up between Beale and Foley. It was a dirt simple blocking play, with Beale defending in the first channel and Foley outside him. The ball went behind the blocker to the Puma 10 (Sanchez?), and Beale lazily ran into the blocker and...
