    QLD GPS Rugby 2011

Yeah a gifted athlete no doubt. Rugby league will be a perfect fit for him, think the game suits him a bit more.

    Growing QLD Schoolboy Rugby

Very valid point about the rowers. So much go's into a rowing season nowadays that many of the rowers just want to focus on their studies a bit more (and get pissed every weekend) once the seasons over. Rugby is almost an afterthought. Current system also pushes a lot the of the rugby starts out...

    Growing QLD Schoolboy Rugby

I wrote it in the hope people would start discussing it a bit more, so at least something is done. Sadly I don't think anything will happen either.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

I'd have gilly at least on the bench, and depending on trial form would also give schatz a run in lieu of houston. Interesting you went for wallace-harrison over samo, seeing as i haven't seen either of them play for a while I have no idea which one is higher on the pecking order at the moment...

    Growing QLD Schoolboy Rugby

Interesting news this week that from 2012, GPS rugby will be played over the course of term 3. Although not confirmed yet there is talk the AIC and TAS may well follow suit. This presents a great opportunity for growth of the code in qld schools. With term 2 now free there is the potential to...

Lausi did'nt look to crash hot in gps fixtures because he didnt look to his support players enough. That said he played quite well in the reps games.

    Rob Horne

I really hope he gets some game time at 12. Imagine having horne, acc, mitchel and ioane all running at you. Some of the most destructive runners in the game.

    The Hickey Must go thread

I never said he was feigning injury, he merely plays a high impact game and it is entirely possible he just needed a moment to recover from all the collisions and whatnot before playing on. Fact remains everytime he takes a moment to recover, the medic seems to come on and the ref then delays...

    The Hickey Must go thread

I hate to be sinister but it could also have been a ploy to slow the game down. He was going down at nearly every stoppage, giving his team a rest from all that brutal defensive work.

Brumbies vs Reds, week 3 2011

Is hynes injured? I would consider morahan for the 15 jumper, although i do like the look of the having 2 play makers in cooper and lucas.

    Reds 2011

Even in those games in 08 and 09, a lot of the time we got ourselves in a position to win and were then just blown away in the last quarter. Tonight's performance was poor from the get go.

    Week 2 - Wallabies 22

You have to put that in perspective, the rebels did make a hell of a lot of tackles last night. I'd be looking more at percentages rather that straight missed tackles.

    Reds 2011

The effect of Mooneys coaching certainly starts to look more credible after performances like tonight's. However he is not the answer, the underlying problem lies in the reds inability to go forward, hold possession, and distribute quick ball.

Simmons for van any day of the week. His runs tonight were about the only broken play forward movement the reds had.

    Reds 2011

After 2 rounds the reds are looking worse than they have for a quite a while. Worryingly they seem to have lost the attacking spark that was a feature of their game in 2010 and parts of 2009. With the benefit of hindsight it is plain to see that the current gameplan is fast becoming outdated and...

Provincialisms taking over lads, dont mind me. On a totally different note, genia getting very slow ball to the backline. Would'nt let him anywhere near a gold jersey with this type of service?

How much are the Tah's paying this ref? fuck i hate nsw

Melbourne Rebels vs Brumbies match thread

What a fucking great game of rugby, enjoyed every minute of it. Melbourne crowd could defiantly teach the rest of Australian rugby a thing or two about support.

How to be a ballboy for the Tahs or Wallabies?

At the reds its normally the younger family of people involved with the franchise. I heard on the radio that the kid who stalled the quad bike at the tahs v reds game in 2008 was ben lucas's little brother.

While he no doubt looks a good prospect (and has been for many years), i'm not sure chibba has done enough yet to take Fainga'a starting spot. If the scrums failing badly then I would defiantly bring him on early.
