10 QC (Quade Cooper)/JOC (James O'Connor)
11 Ioane
12 Horne
13 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
14 Mitchell
15 Beale

Looks the goods to me. KB (Kurtley Beale) and QC (Quade Cooper) are all the playmakers that we need.

That line-up would be terrifying. Who kicks goals? Beale? (Assuming that puts JOC (James O'Connor) on the bench).

Horne is certainly one of the best defenders we have produced for a while, however I am yet to see enough from him to class him as one of the best attackers. I haven't yet put him with Little, Herbert and Mortlock.

I dont agree. The lines he runs are deadset genius. Example; when he stitched Vuna up in the first round - the Rebels had a full defensive line, everyone was numbered up, yet the change of angle he put on Vuna's inside shoulder meant that the newest leaguie didn't even get a glimpse of him. We could call him the protractor from where I sit.

He sometimes bull rushes out of the line but his tackling is so dominant that he often gets away with it. Robbie Robinson (highlanders sub) was captain and 12 for NZ that day and he was outclassed by Horne. Highlights are on youtube if you need a reminder or proof of his talent

He is also a freak, and someone I rate very, very highly.

Horne has been a standout since his school days, both in defence and attack. I personally thought he was going to be the next best thing at 12, after watching him go round a few times at school level, but it seems 13 is his destiny and he's doing a great job of that.

LG has been talking this lad up for years, and has again proved to be a good judge. Let's hope he we see a lot more of him on the paddock in 2011.

He was good at 15 for the NZ 20's when Cruden was at 10. In the schoolboys he looked really aggressive in attack and de.fence (a good thing) but I haven't seen it in him since.

In the super 14 and NPC last year he looked like a bit of a pussy in defence but I can see where you are coming from Tranq. Dont see his future at 10 though definitely a 15 with those running lines of his.

And Scotty wait a bit for continuity and you will see his running lines more and more. Already demonstrated glimpses this year as well as his break against Fiji last year and his Super 14 runs against the canes and chiefs

I really like what I have seen from him. His aggression and commitment in contact gives the team momentum. I hope his injury worries are over and he stays on the park.

That for me is the biggest concern. Rob is obviously class, but he's been a bit fragile and I hope that's just a natural part of him maturing physically. He's got huge talent, that's for sure.

I really hope he gets some game time at 12. Imagine having horne, acc, mitchel and ioane all running at you. Some of the most destructive runners in the game.

I think the world of Horney, but tbh I don't like this talk of shifting him around.

At this level, he's still developing as an outside centre. He has the defensive vision and scope to be a great outside, and basically just needs to spend a lot more time on the park to realise his potential. There seems to be a theme on the forum that if a player's doing well in one position - switch him! It doesn't make sense, and particularly not for a young bloke him Horne.

He has a chance to battle it out with AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) for the Wobs 13 jersey, let him get on with that and be focused. World Cup year is not the time to fuck with a guy like that. Imo.

So you rate him in the mortlock and Herbert league? Isn't that getting a little ahead of ourselves?

I'm in complete agreement about leaving him at 13. I don't like shifting players around as a general rule and it could have ruined AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s footy. Luckily for us, he's done well at 13 and I think that he and Horne should fight it out for that jersey. This can only benefit the Wobs.

So we have our next little. Anyone know where our next horan is coming from?

(anyone that mentions Carter or a finger should be banned)

O'Connor..

Maybe.

Personally I think we may well see JOC (James O'Connor) in 10 permanently post RWC. I am thinking that unless Cooper learns to tackle effectively (or even basically) he will have a short test career, as JOC (James O'Connor) can do everything Cooper can do with ball in hand, defends infinitely better and IMO could learn to direct a team's attack as he seems to be able to read the game very well in the tighter areas. I think maybe will will see (again post RWC) someone like Mitch Inman move to 12 and then you will have someone with a skill set like Horan.

Just wait until he gets through this Super season for gods sake. I feel all this hype now could just be a waste of my time if he succumbs to another injury.

He has played 2 games so far this season where he fed off the brilliance of Tom Carter, so what? He has shown up 2 leaguies (Vuna, Chambers), yeh my Mum can as well and does a better job of it.

O'Connor will be in the Wallaby side before Horne because that sonuvabitch can KICK!

Bob Davidson (42)
And anyway, why do we need a "next Horan" or "next Little" - why can't Horne just be the next Horne, and be the best Horne he can be.

Rob Horne is a fad. It's cool to be a fan of his but what has he done?

other than his hamstring HA!
