Look to restart U85kg competitions and allow transsexual players to compete in that category.

    Ballymore Redevelopment

Hey, if we go it alone using the 5 Super Rugby franchises and bringing in the two Country squads I can think of far worse regions to use as NSW Country's base.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Look who's behind the PI team. Unless there a big pot of cash in play in order to make their dream's come true and it would have to be big. Then they'll side with NZ. What I'd like to see happen though is us via RA and GRR leverage the existing relationships with Fiji and Samoa at a minimum to...

    Ballymore Redevelopment

Awesome. Also mentions that it will be the Hockey Stadium in Brisbane bids for the Olympics. Which would mean that at least from the renderings I've seen it may need to be amended to have more seating. But still, if this means it will finally happen then awesome.

God I hope we disappoint him.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Hopefully it's an indicator of consecutive years of really strong U18s and U20s teams. I honestly believe you need to string together at least 3 or 4 years of Top 4 placing ideally finalists at the JWC to be a solid indicator of future success.

    Australian Rugby / RA

The Tahs announcement came up on my feed at 11am.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I'd imagine they hold off until Thursday as a means of providing more accurate lists. Remember on Wednesday there's still another full day of training to go and injuries do happen. Which would mean they'd have to amend their lists. That's at least what I think might be the reasoning.

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

There'd be no other international sport of anything that calibre being played in our region. That's where the value would be. And if we managed to sign young Joseph and if he's featuring in the U20s I think that would bring in a deal of interest.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

But if a player qualifies for the ABs and chooses to take that opportunity how exactly could they stop them or NZR from doing so? Additonally, regarding a PI team here. Well, at least initially coming from most likely NZ in regards to many Samoan and Tongan players (much like many of their...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

MLR franchises are only allowed 10 foreign players on their squads. The rest have to be either US eligible or 'domestic' in the sense that they have to either be from the US and it's territories or Canada as Canadians don't count as foreign imports under MLR's mandate. So we won't be seeing too...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

I think it'd be awesome if the managed that. For everyone concerned. Fans, players, broadcasters etc. Makes sense in my opinion.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

How so? The Drua is an all Fijian squad. This team will be a mix of all three but I suspect leaning more towards Samoan/Tongans going from what I know PI population demographics in NZ. And to be honest, I actually think there should be two PI teams anyway.

    Kanaloa Hawaii Rugby Team

Twice the capital for what? I know it's $10m USD (licence fee and operational costs for 3 seasons) to be awarded a licence in MLR which is one of their goals. So they reckon they have $20m. Okay. I'm not overly sold on this group. They came out with the MLR bid with statements about having...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Although probably not the most rock solid of sources but Peter Fitzsimmons mentioned briefly in a discussion that the money isn't coming out of the RA coffers.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I like a number of others have been suggesting something similar to that for some time. Merge our Super Rugby franchises with GRR and we'd have at least 7 teams ready to go in fairly quick order. Fiji with the Drua/Lautui are already well established. Manuma Samoa less so but work could be done on that...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

We go for an 8 team domestic league. Set up under a specially established business entity specifically designed to operate the competition. Sign the guys from the Drua/Lautui, Manuma Samoa and as many Argentines as possible. Use our current five and place a team in both Newcastle and North...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That would be part of the point in sourcing PE be it a form or Forrest. Well, at least part of it. Buy in a bunch of Argentines, bring in the Drua and Manua Samoa and find a squad for an 8th team based in Sydney or Newcastle or hell, even Adelaide in order to not raise East Coast bias arguments.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Neither do I. Mainly because the Sunwolves are no more and Japan is moving forward with its own league structure so there's no need for them to participate and because the UAR has pretty much disbanded the Jaguares and allowed their squad members to seek contracts overseas. Of which many already...
