What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

The goal should be to secure a monthly subscription fee that delivers somewhere between $100-200/ subscriber. Be it via subscription and advertising or a subscription alone.

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

It's the model employed by Hulu in the US.

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

They'd have to make it available across a number of devices. Likely as a PWA. But it's not an impossible task to covert part of their current site into a streaming platform. The key will be adding value to those streams in the form of aforementioned pod/vodcasts, stats, AR etc. Particularly if...

Why the hatred towards rugby league

Or may be e get sick of the stream of bullshit League journalist spew on a regular basis about our game. I'm not a League fan. So I don't watch it, read about it or care what is going on with the game. And part of that is not publicly talking shit about it either. If they truly believe that...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Much of the issues surrounding the scrum come down to the collective skullduggery going on between packs. Which needs to be stopped. Yes, the scrum should be about technique and team work but there's far too much silly buggers going on around angling and weight distribution etc around the...

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

I guess they could offer two tiers of subscription. One with and one without advertising.

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

There's n awful lot that can be included in which to provide a richer experience to subscribers. If you provided me with a platform that had all of the Australian Rugby content from club, a NCC, NRC, Pro Comp and Wallabies I'd be fairly happy. But if you could also add exclusive content in the...

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

Only $10/month would likely not enough to make such a platform viable.

What do you want in a RA Streaming Service

There's no all of the above option. Because I'd like have literally all of the comp options on the service.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

No. There were a few cases a couple of days ago.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It's not a lack of interest in club rugby. I've tuned into the SS broadcast every Saturday since I was 12. It's my a matter of value. I'm not going to outlay $25/month for amateur rugby.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I certainly wouldn't be resubscribing for anything less than some kind of national competition. There's a bunch of different options out there in terms of Rugby. I'd definitely have more interest in say MLR than just Sydney and Brisbane club Rugby.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It mentions using the competitions to dive subscription by Rugby fans. I ratings don't matter then what's the point?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Really? They clearly haven't been tracking the Shute Shield ratings then.

    Australian Rugby / RA

Bang on. Applying a bit of my management education from my Uni days the business simply doesn't warrant being divided into individual 'divisions' in the form of RA and the individual state unions. The bureaucracy and inefficiencies of this model needs a complete overhaul.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

They should look to invest in SLAR by adding two more franchises one in BA and another in the interior alongside Los Ceibos. In its very short season the standard was pleasingly good and there's potential to grow with that league.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I certainly hope so. This has been discussed many times on the forum previously but the Super Rugby averages are dragged down significantly by games both against SA and Arg teams. Both here and overseas. Which drags down the overall value of the competition down. In fact, I suspect the $10-18m figure is...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

While I think it would be the perfect option for the Jaguares if Super Rugby as we know it ends I'm not sure how likely that is. Apart from that outside of Scotland or Italy I don't know where another team could come from. Unless the Russian posters over on the T2 Rugby forum speculation about Zenit St...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's why you would conduct research into how broad your potential market.
  20. WorkingClassRugger

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Yes if feasible. There'd have to be several things investigated and ironed out. Cost of operating the platform being the most notable. The other would be what potential subscribers would willing to pay and what they are worth to advertisers per head.
