Yeah, he's well liked over at Benetton. Godwin is off contract, and he'd definitely be appreciated, but I haven't heard anything substantial.

    Crusaders v Waratahs, Round 13, 20 May 2016

Given the number of Waratahs who are going to be in the test squad, this was a let down. The only player in form, maybe, is Horne, though I'm giving Holloway the week to come back from injury. Crusaders might count themselves unlucky that it was even close. Definitely agree that the second...

John I. Dent Cup 2016 - ACT Premier Rugby

Absolutely thrilled to see Robinson continuing to be recognised, he can't be far from a Brumbies spot, surely?

We're suffering enough from injuries to key back line players, and I'm still thankful that Toua hasn't succumbed yet. I liked the idea in the Brumbies 2016 thread of Dargaville at 15.

Total turnaround from Lilo missing the winning conversion just for us to get the losing BP.

I'd definitely prefer Bongo start, and I can't see any Super sides taking Abel, but maybe the Euro teams are on the hunt? Larkham is probably only second to Macqueen when it comes to using the Brumbies bench, and he is giving the rookies game time (Powell and Staniforth on for the final...

Perfect, hooker depth, Abel gets playtime in the JID. Does he stay with Qld Country in the NRC?

Still believe we have the better run in, and it's ours to lose.

    Brumbies 2016

I think we're hurting a lot more than it seems without guys like Tomane, Speight, Coleman, and To'omua. I'm glad we have guys like Ah Wong and Dargaville to step up, and they haven't been bad, but it's hard to maintain a world-class standard with players who don't event get much Super Rugby. I...

John I. Dent Cup 2016 - ACT Premier Rugby

Won't be able to make it to the games today, but Royals-Whites and Wests-Owls both look like cracking matchups. Easts are always one or two things away from matching the bigger teams, but as soon as they fix one, they lose another. Vikings are Vikings. Vikings by twenty-five. Queanbeyan have...

Loved Jackson-Hope's impact against the Rebels tonight, definitely won't be worried about having to bring him on when we need to.

Impossible for me to defend Toua this week. Should put Dargaville at fullback, either Jackson-Hope or Coleman at 12 next week game, keep our current wingers.

He's on the bench for the Rebels game!

Agree with everything you say, Runner. Given the NRC backrow was Smiler-Butler-Vaea, it's not as if Perry would be new to the team. Killingworth would be good, as would Baldwin, but it will be hard to negotiate with them knowing that Pocock will be back the following season.

    Brumbies 2017

Lomax was still behind Makin in last year's NRC, and with Sio, Ala'alatoa, and Anae, I doubt Sione will get a look in. With To'omua leaving, Jackson-Hope is a chance.

    Brumbies 2017

I can accept Butler at 7; he's good there because he's a good player, not because he's a good 7. The Bulls game this week was very much a "remember that I am an 8" performance. I'd really prefer we get a mercenary to come and be a specialist 7 for us over one year (the dream is another George...

This says we have Larkham until the end of 2017 http://web.archive.org/web/20160229224130/https://www.brumbies.com.au/uncategorised/larkham-signs-new-three-year-deal-as-fisher-bids-farewell

    Brumbies 2017

Reds and Rebels have got started, and the 2016 thread has started talking about signings, time for a Brumbies 2017 thread. Problems to solve: No specialist 7 while Pocock is on sabatical Need a third hooker and scrumhalf Jooste is currently the only backup kicker 12 depth could be much better...

    Brumbies 2016

Wells has been playing 6 for Whites, and is in many ways their talisman this season, looks like a good signing. The way I see it we have him and Fardy for 6, Butler and Smiler for 8, and hopefully can get a specialist 7 in - maybe Colby is feeling homesick? (Edit: at the Rebels until end of...

    Brumbies 2016

Just some quick thoughts on potential signings for next year from the JID: We want someone to cover for Pocock while he's on sabatical (and hopefully keep Butler at 8), I'd say Woodward from Royals is the best bet. There's some good competition in the JID for number 8 spots; Jones at Uni, Noa at...
