The Scariest War Dances - Pre Match Rituals

Anyone who criticises team for responding to the haka is precious. I hope that if we play nz in the world cup the team walks to the half way line mid-haka. Would be so awesome. I also liked the bit in Rod Mcqueen's book about how he use to make his team get in a huddle and go over the game plan...

    Shute Shield 2011

So back to the rugby. I'm watching the norths v uni game and AJ Gilbert is having a decent game. Worth another look for a super rugby team? He could be the flyhalf the waratahs have been looking for.....

    Brumbies 2012

Shaping up as quite a good young team for next year. I expect it will take them at least 5-6 games to work out the starting line up so a finals berth might be a bit of a challenge. McCabe might end up as outside centre with coleman inside him and Lealiifano at fullback, but who knows...

    QLD Premier Rugby 2011

Shipperley made davies look ordinary. The filth backs had some real speed, very entertaining at times. Props to the uni bbq workers, best burger I've had in a long time.

    Returns from injury

So is vickerman now 4th in line for the throne after kev, sharpie and simmons, or are we banking on super sub dean mumm... I'd actually like to see Samo get a crack at a second row spot as he has played quite a bit of rugby there over the years, and this would free up a squad spot for a third...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Is Rene Ranger injured or just down the pecking order? I would probably pick him and gear, depending on the opposition.

IRB Law amendments post RWC 2011

I think the ball should have to be straight either way. You dont want to encourage un-straight throwing at any time.

    Returns from injury

Yeah that sounds like a decent plan. Betting on TPN getting injured at some point because you want to make a sub. Its sort of like taking an unbrella with you because you dont want it to rain.

    Returns from injury

But he is arguably not as effective in a straight swap at 12 as finger would be > who plays a similar game to the man he would replace McCabe. Granted he can take the kicks if JOC (James O'Connor) go's down injured, but if JOC (James O'Connor) is on the wing then deans isnt going to sub giteau onto the wing anyway, it would...

IRB Law amendments post RWC 2011

    1. Bring back rucking. 2. Remove the power hit from scrums. 3. No reset once the ball has been won. 4. Get rid of that 10 metre rule when you are infront of the kicker, but he puts you back onside before you enter the play.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

I would have samo in the team just for his work at the back of the scrum getting the ball out to genia. Positional play like that takes years to master.

    Returns from injury

Is giteau really a better choice for the bench than Finger, keeping in mind JOC (James O'Connor) played a good chunk of the super rugby season at 10. My first choice for the bench play-maker would be barnes, but only if fit.

include pacific islander's into the tri nation .

I dont think having them in an extended 4 nations is a good idea at all. They have there 4 nations we have ours, its a good system. But I do like the 1 off tests, and I think a combined team that tours every 4 year between world cups and plays during the nh off season would be great. The...

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

Why anyone would have barnes in the team over digby, shmoo or AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is beyond me.

    Tri Nations - AUS v SAF 23rd July 2011.

I think you have it pretty much correct, except I would pick beau robinson on the bench ahead of hodgson. And see how the backrow functions. If need be they could bring McCalman back in for the AB game, he could even play 6 with rocky being 'rested'. Interesting selection of Cowan, its a bit of...

    Wallabies V Samoa - Test 2011

I havnt yet watched the game, but losing to samoa is not acceptable, especially in a world cup year. Credit to them they must have really dont alot of hard work in camp to get to a level of beating us. Its not totally unexpected considering the team was full of unproven players - and giteau was...

    Wallabies Trinations Squad

I think Ewen Mckenzie should be wallabies assistant coach (in addition to coaching queensland) for the next two seasons so he can familiarise himself with the set up before he takes over from deans. Its a no brainer really, he is one of the best tacticians in world rugby, a wallabie coach in...
