TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

I don’t think he is necessarily the answer. If Poey was at 6..........

Foley is a lock. CL has had a very good season but he is relatively inexperienced at test level. We need both.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

That’s the biggest problem I see. The Pumas will be even more clinical at the breakdown than the Boks. Could get blown away there.

Hodge covers outside centre, wing and fullback.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

I’d like to see Jones and Valetini given a run this week, one off the bench of course, to see what they bring. Cheika said he would experiment over these two tests and then start to formulate a 23 and squad with an eye on the RWC. The backrow lacked balance once again last week. It’s ironic...

I think he could have been persevered with. His lineout ability was beyond McMahon. The lineout was the main bone of contention with the McPooper. It felt like he was discarded very quickly. Unlike Hanigan.

He only played that one test I thought and was it not in the second row as replacement? I seem to recollect him being replaced by Skelton in the next test. He may have had a run on that EOYT. He was not a test lock at that point without question.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

He was thrown in against the French too early and then canned. It was very poor player management, as we have come to expect in Oz. He’s stronger and a much better player now.

If Samu not available then maybe Wright on the bench? I think they might start Valetini at 6. We need a specialist blindside. Lilo will release TK more effectively.

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

We need more presence at the breakdown so I imagine that we will see Latu in the 23 this week. Hope he can manage to stay on the park. Is Samu in this squad? Either way we probably need a more savvy flanker at 6. Dempsey or Jones maybe? It might be a good opportunity to take a look at Valetini...

TRC Round 2: Australia vs Argentina @ Brisbane - Saturday 27 July 2019

We lost ground every time we had to exit by going through multiple phases rather than exiting ASAP. Each phase we were caught further behind the gain line. It looked a premeditated plan that the Boks were all over.

Surely AAA and Sio will get a gig if fit?

Banks is defensively sound, has explosive speed and a good boot. I would have him ahead of DHP and Hodge as our second fullback if Beale plays. He should be a mainstay in our back 3.

Not necessarily. He needs to show that he can bring in his outside players, put them away if you will. I do not believe he has it locked down. We have other options in Beale, To'omua, JOC (James O'Connor) etc. Look at the Reds this year. Kerevis numbers are outstanding but The Reds numbers are anything but. We do...

TRC Round 1: South Africa v Australia, Sunday 21 July 1:05am AEST

And he is not a good distributor. That late pass to LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) was pretty bad. It was a try for all money but he was considering going himself until it was too late. I think he was also guilty of pushing a few passes when we gave the pill away, as were others. Foley and Lealiifano need to cut him out...

Obviously the longer term tenure has not reaped any rewards. In fact Cheika has the worst record of all pro era coaches. Four year contracts with a performance clause allowing them to be cut short are probably the way to go. Only the decent ones will see out the full term of their contract.

TRC Round 1: South Africa v Australia, Sunday 21 July 1:05am AEST

I thought the ref was pretty good in general. TT may not have been able to pull out completely but he came in from the side and it was off the ball. He has a little history with this. The whistle had gone so he at least should not have gone through with it at full force as he did. It was a...

How has Kepu been going for the Tahs at tight head? Has he been starting?

TRC Round 1: South Africa v Australia, Sunday 21 July 1:05am AEST

Bench front row lacks experience. Hope the starters can hold up their end at scrum time. The rest is pretty much as expected. Nice to see that Banks has been rewarded. Lots of kicking to back up Foley. AAA and Sio are a big loss but good to see how we go without them. That’s a solid looking...

One or both will be in the 23 for their respective boots at altitude one would think.
