I have read that Cane is. Whether that has come from Hansen is another thing.

Not the ref again fellas. That is sooooo Bledisloe I :) The Simmons leg lift in the maul is one of those 50/50 ones I reckon. Retreating maul defence and he's trying to stop it by doing something illegal and potentially dangerous. But the material affect of what he did was neglibile.

He didn't really stand out to me. I actually thought it was the whole pack that manned up in that win. The scrum was much impressed after being dealt to vs France and then a staunch defensive effort from Hooper, Dennis, Palu and then a big game from Badger providing go forward.

True but be didn't start every test in 2012 and usually came on playing out of position. He was thrust into the starting 7 jersey probably without serving an adequate apprenticeship behind the captain. But it is what it is and now in a weird twist he's the captain, probably when he is still...

I remember when we ran with Holah and McCaw together. It didn't really work well albeit on limited occasions. More recently we went with McCaw and Adam Thomson (who was basically a tall 7) and I didn't think that worked crash hot either even Thomo had a huge Super campaign that hear winning a...

And unfortunately for Luke he came back large but not in charge. Jeez I remember feeling nervous as hell when he came on in that 2nd French test in 09. He looked unfit and was running the cutter with Donald getting hurt if I recall. Then it was a huge mistake when we put him at 10 vs Italy. I...

I may not have any scientific analysis to back this up other than the fact that I haven't misses a 3Ns, 6Ns or winter and spring tour tests between tier 1 nations in 15 years (just ask Missus ACT), but I'd say there isn't a 7 in tier 1 rugby today that is making more than 2 breakdown steals...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

I've never really got why he has been a mainstay in the Bok shirt. He's not overly strong at scrum time and then he does dumb stuff around the field. Seems a liability that they've carried for far too long.

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Yeah I think AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) is a an excellent test winger. Safe defender, runs straight and can link well with a direct fullback. I thought Link was on to something in the French series with the Brumbies midfield combo. I think there is huge upside with To'omua and Kurindrani. Something needs to be done...

OZ are lacking combinations in key areas - 6,7 and 8; 4 and 5; 9/10; 11,14 and 15. Going into Bled 1 these were all either brand new combos or ones that had very limited test time together. IMO it's pretty hard going against experienced teams when you hardly know what the fella right next to...

I love my league and am a big Warriors supporter, and one of the huge advantages OZ has over NZ is the big game experience. The Kangaroos are by and large made up of experienced Origin players. Sure we can pull one out of the bag in a blue moon, but unless our boys are in teams that are playing...

All good. I certainly didn't take it that way mate. He had an interesting test career. Started in the mid 90s and got his chance. Then lost the 10 jersey to Tony Brown for a while and Merts. Then under Mitchell was brought back whilst Merts had some off field matters to deal with. I know he...

I like to think Carlos did his job, which was twofold - help win the Bledisloe, check - the last time we put 50 on the Wallabies he was awesome that night. And keep the jersey warm until Carter's game was mature enough to start at 10, check. Well done 'Los.

As the first AB supporter to join TYS I feel as the elder statesman to hang around to witness this mourning :) Commiserations to the Wallaby supporters. One of the best test matches by an AB tight 5 for some time. The pop passing, the catching, the lines they ran, the support play and the...

The ABs are the beneficiary of public funds and infrastructure, so there is a link with the Government of the day. It's only a magazine.....

That's not true at all. Plenty of AB supporters and people close to the action knew we didn't have a lock of the calibre of Eales, that OZ had world class backs in Burke, Bernie and GG, a workmanlike pack and a coach that was a master tactician and man manager. Sure there were plenty of issues...

I think some you (IS, QH) are jumping at shadows on the Hansen comments. What about the "private" conversations between players and the ref prior to the game and then in a pre-game interview the captain or coach says we've discussed this and that with the ref. yes leading questions are often...

But OZ are favourites aren't they. No Nonu, means OZ have the better midfield. No Kaino, means Fardy will roam as free as a bird. No Carter or Dagg so our kicking / territory game is sorely lacking. No Woodcock, therefore no (legal) scrum :). All this and we haven't even mentioned the tiring...

It's definitely a balancing act and a trade off. Crockett has the highest work rate of the props in NZ in terms of tackles, hitting rucks, and the best line speed defensively. Plus his height and long levers do help with the lift at LO time. With Ben Franks he is a more natural tighthead but...
