Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

OZ initially made okay metres on the outside, but then it got far to predictable and the AB defence was holding. I was surprised that there wasn't more variation to the attack and the use of the kicking game (from the 1st and 2nd 5s) by the Wallabies.

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Not sure we were better without him especially when he was dealing it to Kepu at scrum time and tackling around the park well. The non discussion of Hooper not getting his marching orders when the ABs were hot on attack is deafening :)

I actually think it was the French

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Some strange decision making at the end by the Wallabies not to set up for drop goal, so perhaps it did 'get away'. But i disagree that the ABs didn't played to win. The ABs definitely played most of the footy in the first half but Cruden was sorely lacking. The Nonu / Fekitoa combo wasn't...

    The Rugby Championship 2014 - Non-Wallaby Games

Yeah shocking conditions all round for week one of the RC. Let's just have all 4 teams go camp at Dunedin for 6 weeks and every test played under the roof :)

Haha, so it looks like Hansen has reeled in one fish....

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Not easy holding your bind when your opposite is on their knees or got a mouthful of dirt because they're lying face down on the ground. Perhaps it's time for a new t-shirt, "I'm not an alcoholic, I just drink when the Wallabies collapse a scrum" (thanks Samarai Jack)

    New Zealand v Australia - Auckland - 23 August 2014

Will be interesting to see what happens if Nonu is ruled out. Hansen and co obviously see that Fekitoa is a 12/13 cover option given they originally picked him for the bench, even if he really is a centre. Crotty played really well when he came on and was rock solid in defence at 2nd 5...

Phipps should get the nod for Bledisloe II, if not for his Gregan-esque cynical play of not putting the ball in the scrum because the OZ hooker and tight head couldn't hack the pressure at scrum time. He fooled Peyper well.

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

I actually think the wet weather really disadvantaged us. Cruden, Fekitoa, Ben Smith (at fullback) and Jane is a dry track backline. Carter, Conrad and Dagg (at fullback) are a lot more proficient in the heavy track especially Carter and Dagg with their superior kicking games to Cruden and...

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Eh? Did you miss the Coles 70 metre sprint, regather, brush off of a would-be defender and pass to his centre? Play of the game. The ABs suffered when he went off, his work around the park and LO throwing was on song. Meanwhile OZ hooker spent most of it on his puku at scrum time :)

Australia v New Zealand - Sydney 16 Aug

Shocking performance by the ABs. Cruden was poor. Fails to kick for touch, long wobbly passes in wet conditions. No linking play from the forwards. Was Corey Jane on the field? Crotty was more visible in his short stint than Jane.

OZ hooker on his knees. Stirlo calls it right on Channel 10

    Kaino looks goneski. Arm injury

Cruden's long passes suck eggs in these conditions.

    Hooper with more cynical play....

White's not helping Beale one iota. White is at his erratic best tonight. I'll be surprised if he runs out after oranges.

Wasn't McCaw Aussie D. It was 17, Ben Franks for offside

White has hands on ball, Crockett tackles him and it's a yellow card? Ok.
