    Shute Shield 2020

Missed the 2nd half. Score anyone?

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Something similar to how I'd like a theoretical 10 bid to be set. With the Wobs and the Aus Saturday game on FTA and the rest on their 10 play platform.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Not great. But still better than SRA.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

And Super Rugby Au games have been out rating SRA in Aus. There's a whole thread dedicated to ratings.

    2020 crowds and ratings

    53k according to mediaweek.

    Western Force 2021

I'd like to see them turn those resources to bringing more Wallabies home and back into contention.

Rugby Championship in an Aussie bubble?

Last I heard the max capacity was 25% of the facilities maximum. So if it were to be played at ANZ it would be a little over 20k.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Pretty sure that deadline was for broadcasters.

Super Rugby AU Round 10 - Rebels v Force, 3.00pm AEST Sat 5th September

Cannot believe I could feel this gutted two weeks in a row. Went into the game hoping the Force would do the job but expecting the Revs to win. But then the game happened and I begun to actually think it may happen. Damn it.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think it was investigated. Sure. But I don't think it ever got to a point where it was considered a viable long term option. Plus, the whole idea of it being a more cost effective option seems very unlikely.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It ties in very closely to what was in The Australian. Which suggest more veracity to that report. You wouldn't have a link would you? (Bugger off Kiap)

    Rugby News from unexpected places

And someone has just mentioned that the $10m USD is now closer to $25m USD with the $10m being just the new licencing fee. No way these guys had close to $38m NZD to meet the league requirements if that's the case.

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I actually think it could just be them. Working under the assumption that their names alone would be enough to open the door. Which would explain how they've fallen through on much of their talk and to be honest bullshit. The supposed deals that never were etc. I've mentioned before that the...

    Rugby News from unexpected places

I had reservations about their ability to meet the financial requirements of entry. This confirms them. It's why I was also very skeptical of this group being an option for NZs SRA going forward. They appear not to have been able to even meet the requirements for an extension.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It says they've dismissed it. So hardly worth worrying about.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

They could do as League does in the lead in to SoO and have mini camps during the week and release player to their clubs for games on the weekend. NH squads are larger but it's not like an entire teams worth of talent is going to be ripped away from the franchises. Meaning with the average squad...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Tell me. When the 6Ns is on what happens to the respective leagues up north? I'm talking about the July inbound tours. That's three maybe four weeks tops.
  18. WorkingClassRugger

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Get creative. We could look to move the RC to align with the 6Ns to kick off the season. Move into the season and run it until it finishes while hosting inbound tours mid season via mid-week games. With all the talk of SoU why not copy SoO on the scheduling. This way the competition could run...

    Reds 2020

The only thing that connects MLR and USA Rugby is the sanctioning agreement in place. They're completely separate entities. With no overlap. The only way MLR could have been in danger was if those backing ran out of cash. And as there's quite a bit of money backing the league in terms of...
