    Wallabies 2023

Only in NSW, SMI. So less about a lack of history (in NRC) and a lot about arrogance of expectation around history in SS. I do have to admit though, it's an issue that will need resolution for any 3rd tier put forward or NSW will again destroy it.

    Wallabies 2023

My understanding of the origin of the term is that is exactly what it meant. Goes back apparently to a baseball player who was known for bringing the bases home at the end of a game. As he got older he didn't play the full proceedings. So it is about using an experienced, talented player for the...

FWIW I have the troll on ignore, but I'm interested in your comments on Deans, Holman. I had understood that Deans technical understanding was very high, but his ability when at the Wallabies to implement that down to the players left the players scratching their heads muttering "what the?"...

Got to agree with this. Well done Reg.

    Queensland Reds 2024

So it's time for some changes, I agree. But there is no way we should be thinking of re-establishing contact with New Start as some sort of new beginning. I'm hoping we are not going to throw Heenan in with the wolves. We've been through many years of the local Brisbane boy. To little effect...

Based on that, I've been thinking White as captain for some time. It's pity that the bloke is such a Pratt on the playing field as his leadership and drive would work really well for captain.

I hope so. He's definitely not burning bridges.

I respect that Thorn will hold through 2023. In general can only respect what he has tried to do for the Reds. It was definitely time - kudos to the guy for working that issue through with dignity.

WIth respect, and I do understand the despondency - bollocks.

BH, the other back bench utility that would help is a 23 whose day job is 15 backing as second play maker. Short of Jock Campbell and Debreceni I can't think of one. Donaldson? Wright, Petaia, Kellaway all seem no to me. The centres who might back as second playmaker gets empty after about...

If everyone is fit and in form then either: a) Quade 10; Hodge 22; or b) Foley 10; Hodge 22; You only take one of Quade or Foley. On the lessor games, or if the usual starting 10 is out for injury: c) Gordon 10; Hodge 22 If Hodge is injured it gets interesting.

Clearly not. EJ (Eddie Jones) will take a view on how he wants to play then reward creativity or conservatism based on that. Might even alter his thinking on the skills he sees. He has openly stated he will reward the uncapped where he sees value.

    Moana v Reds 14/4

Apparently enough to run earlier. Either MP (Moana Pasifika) are ready to contribute to an international sporting comp, or they are not.

Foley (possibly) plays if Quade doesn't make it or can't show form. Or doesn't if Quade doesn't have form but JOC (James O'Connor) does.

It puts Tom into some perspective.

    Moana v Reds 14/4

Some satisfied customers here frustrated by a desire by other fans who want more. I'd like to see us maximising our chances of making the finals. This result did not do that. It's not like we didn't have it within reach. Just little spark to finish. No points next week, right? Three teams below...

The best 10 is Australia? Completely. We need to get through the RC first and that won't use either Foley or Quade. Carter will get his chance. For me it's 1. Quade/Foley, 2. Carter Gordon, 3. Hodge (long shot JOC (James O'Connor))
