    Wallaby Wayne

Well, it would be refreshing for the players after so many years of Robbie speak. I can imagine the look on Bennett's face when Robbie is going through the "group" "journey" routine.

Rebel Army vs GAGR - Sydney Touch Game

I was the fat bloke in the white shirt. For our side: - I scored one or two, can't remember - I think rugbysmartarse got one in the left corner (borderline forward pass from me) - barbarian scored at least one and rewarded us with a Cooperesque celebration - #1Tah scored the last Was it rsa or...

    Biased Home Town Match Officials

Sorry cyclo, I disagree. I think the history of rugby is filled with actual bias. And at grassroots level I know it is. Perhaps professionalism has fixed that, but I wouldn't assume it without a fair bot of evidence. Anyway, like I said, I think the problem lies in putting extra pressure on...

    Biased Home Town Match Officials

I don't see why it's a long bow. Why do you think neutral refs were introduced in the first place? There's a long history of home town decisions which had to be countered with something. You might take the position that TV scrutiny + professionalism = no more bias in refs. But that would be the...

    Biased Home Town Match Officials

I don't have any specific gripes, but I don't like non-neutral refs either. I think it puts more pressure on refs which is unhelpful for their performance.

Mate, I don't know what you mean. For a bunch of guys who don't know much about rugby, I think you played quite well.

    The ladder

Isn't it saying: the conference winner with the lowest points OR the third placed team? I.e., they can be different?

    The ladder

I've got a question. I've read these pages: http://www.superxv.com/format/ http://www.superxv.com/about/index.asp And I can't figure out if the 3rd best conference winner is guaranteed 3rd spot, or just a spot in the 6. I reckon they are only guaranteed a place in the finals, and so in theory...

Well, I was the one marking him when his calf blew. Coincidence? Or pressure?

Rebel Army vs GAGR - MOM

I would give myself 3 points as a rule, except for being horribly out of condition, and dropping the pill all the time, and bombing a couple of tries. Let's face it, the game is one in the forwards and the backs just decide by how many, so I'll give it to our enforcers: 3. rugbysmartarse 2...

Rebel Army vs GAGR - Sydney Touch Game

In a sensational tactical move, TahJ put both our locks - barbarian and Jonnosan - on the left wing. It worked a treat, and they pranced through the Rebs D like gazelles through the savannah. Photos to come - including Panda's "paper scissors rock" moment, and maybe even barbarian's try-scoring...

Rebel Army vs GAGR - Sydney Touch Game

The slippery conditions hampered our silky skills somewhat so the boys played a fairly direct brand of footy. We got away to a flying start with a try to me from about 150 metres out with maybe 10 to beat. We kept up the pressure and got to half-time 3-1 up. Some courageous defensive efforts...

Noooooooo. Standard bloody rules - at least for the first half, then jokers are wild. Now, we just need a ball and we're DTF.

Traffic cones acquired. Has someone got a proper touch ball? Or at least a Gilbert that's not 100 years old and been kicked around on concrete like mine?

    Waratahs 2012

It's finally happened. The virus has spread Our forwards now think as much about their hair as the backs. :'(
