Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

Possibly, but lets not forget the performance was way below that in bled 1 or 2. This was a record defeat, so despite what most are saying more is needed than just a couple of tweaks.

The physicality was OK, possibly misdirected. But it was not effective and we had a lot less ball than in the previous two tests. We were unable to protect our own pill and provide almost any front foot pill. On the rare occasion that we did we made inroads. We need more clean outs and...

My Smokey for 6 is Valetini. We lose some grunt with LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) most likely out and Simmons will replace him. Beef up the carrying and defence with V.

He is probably the closest to To'omua that we have and he is a true 12. With a bit more go forward ball and protection from the pack we might see a little more of what he can do.

I think they will keep Simone at 12. JOC (James O'Connor) looked much better with To'omua outside him than he did when Paisami came in at 12. Of course Paisami is a bit more aggressive/solid in defence but is not such a good option at first receiver.

Valetini at 6 with Samu on the bench? Wright would come in in place of Daugunu not MK if it happens.

If you look at the A game against Argentina they threw successfully 3 times to Valetini at 2. He had a solid 20 minutes.

Liam Wright would be no higher than 3rd in line to play 7 for the Wallabies, and that may be generous. You cannot be captain unless you are an automatic selection. Hooper is that at 7 right now, as captain or not. McReight may challenge him in the next few years but right now thats just what it is.

Petaia is solid defensively. It’s a shame he doesn’t have To'omua inside him to break him in. Hopefully having JOC (James O'Connor) back will help steady the ship. Then Rennie needs to decide who will be at 12. I thought Simone did some good things

Besides the fact that TK is not even in the squad, don’t you think going to him is taking a bit of a backward step? A big problem of ours on the weekend was actually pushing passes that went to ground and became turnovers. No player should pass after a break unless its to someone in a better...

He should start every test for the foreseeable future at 13 if fit. Who would you propose?

I think we have a real gem in Maddocks. He is still a little green but could be something special. He has a long accurate boot, good positional awareness, speed and the ability to put others away. If we go with a more all round skilled winger like Wright then I would think it would be a good...

Agree with most of those but think Simone might stay. Also Lolesio will be on the bench. Harrison is not ready if Friday is anything to go by. It’s no use just dishing these kids up to the ABs although now that he has done so with Lolesio and Simone he should follow through. Harrison should get...

Naisarani didn’t look great in the trial match on Friday. He might bring a little more than Hanigan. We will have to see how LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) is going with his ankle. Assume there will be multiple changes after the result. Rennie will have to be careful with that policy.

If you want security then Hodge is the guy. Superior to all in that regard with a massive boot for kicking to the line and at goal. Playing him in the starting lineup frees up a bench spot for a player like Paisami.

If you are running two out and out speedsters on the wings, as we were, then you need a bloke like JOC (James O'Connor) to become the second fullback in defence. For Daugunu everything in the 1st test turn to gold. Last night it was the opposite. I think we will see Tom Wright come in at his expense next week.

Let’s not forget that JOC (James O'Connor) is an experienced test 15. It’s a tough ask for Lolesio to mimic his game......assuming that this is what was asked of him.

JOC (James O'Connor) also goes back in defence to become our second fullback. Problem was that Lolesio has nowhere near JOCs pace or positional awareness back there and he was exposed several times. He was all at sea back there. I have concerns about his lack of pace.
