Who is the emergency lock? Both other locks in the squad just played in Newcastle.

Bledisloe #4 New Zealand vs Australia Nov 7 2020

Unlikely since there is no specialist lock on the bench. Rennie obviously has confidence in him and TBF he was probably the best Oz lock last week.

No Jack Maddocks or Jordan Uelese. Are they injured?

From Rennies press conference it sounded as though Banks was chosen on merit and that DHP and Wright were fighting for Daugunus wing spot. I reckon we will see Maddocks against Argentina, hopefully with JOC (James O'Connor) back in the drivers seat.

There is really not much difference with that change. Unfortunate for DHP. Banks has been solid.

Well. Jono Lance is a distributing 10, which is what we need with Paisami and Petaia outside. He’s also been around the block a few times and is at home in a tough game. I would expect him to handle the pressure better than Lolesio and Harrison at this stage. There is nothing wrong with our...

Jono Lance is not a bad call. Presumably he is still in Oz.

We would take him right now wouldn’t we, or Foley?

I guess if Hodge sees us through the first 20-30 minute onslaught and we can then introduce Lolesio? It just seems such a negative selection

When To'omua was injured he should have pulled someone in from outside of the squad. It was highly unlikely that we would also lose JOC (James O'Connor), but there you go. Same for lock. We lose LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and all of sudden we do not have a recognised lock on the pine. It’s a learning experience for him as well I...

Rennie was gifted 2 ineligible offshore players and he should have grabbed them. This team looks like one to limit damage rather than win a test against anyone, let alone the ABs. There appears to be no playmaking ability inside of 13, or outside of it for that matter. There is not much else in...

Sorry mate but no. He is not a test locks shadow.

Hodge at 10 and no lock on the bench? JOC (James O'Connor) still broken we assume. Looks weak.

He strikes me as an excellent bench option for now with a legitimate lock there as well.

Yes. I am a huge fan of Wright. He was sensational throughout SRAU, and a leader to boot. He just looked a little out of his depth in Bled 2. He will get another shot soon but realistically he is 3rd in line at 7 in this squad and there is probably one or two other sevens not in the squad who...

He fills the role. Hope he can keep his head and be accurate. Not sure I’d be comfortable with Hanigan as the bench lock. If we lose Philip or Simmons early it could make for a long day at the office. Hopefully Hosea or Neville come on to the bench.

His time will come. After a very impressive super rugby campaign he didn’t do himself any favours a few weeks back. I’m sure we will see him in the next month or so, as a 6. I would guess that the challenge for Hoopers spot will come from McReight first.

That happened 2-3 days ago I think

I know Hooper is not a Brumby but he is by far the best 7 in the country and he offers more grunt than many tight 5 players. Your 7 should not be relied upon to provide the beef at the coalface, which Hooper often does. Would not be surprised to see Isi in there somewhere, which IMO would be a...

I wish he would stay at 15. IMO he played better there than DHP at the Rebs this year.
