I don't know why everyone is shocked at Samo's axing. He's a big log who does one good thing every 5 games and nothing inbetween. Quirk is a far more valuable and talented player, I'm more then pleased to see Samo dropped.

Quirk for Samo is a great decision, keep it that way for the rest of the season. My prefered backrow combination. I'd assume Dallan Murphy will be kicking, he does it for Brothers.

I would argue that Peter Hynes is the only specialist full-back in the squad. But yes Toua is probably the next best, and most experienced there, but I always saw him as a wing option for QLD, but that was before Morahan and Davies started producing turds for performances.

You have to look at it from a code competition perspective aswell. Most areas in QLD outside of Brisbane and the Gold Coast are primarily league based. It would take a long time to gain an interest in these areas to introduce a premier side that is competitive.
